Would like to see him behind a lone striker against Leeds. See what happens.
Why? Silva is far better in that position IMO. Nasri contributed ONE decent pass on Saturday, that's simply not good enough.

Because it's nasri's best position. Give him a run of games there and see if he can reproduce his best form. Milner right, Silva left, Aguero up front.

Given just how poor he has been that might be a bit of a risk to give him that responsibility in what is now a huge match. But then the other side of the argument is that as a team we are currently really poor so what harm could it really do to try. Plus at least if he's given a run there and fails (which I suspect he would) then there would be little argument if we get rid in the summer.

Better to sell a player and take a hit, than continue to bury your head in the sand and not admit you bought the wrong player in the first place.

Especially so, when that person is earning over £150k a week!

^^ This.
We'd be better off playing Samia Ghadie

I think I'm the only person on here who rates Nasri highly enough to think it worth giving him a run in his best position ;). I think he's a cracking player who isn't being used to his best potential, and I'd love to see the forward line I mentioned given a go against Leeds.

Yes we have been below par in the last couple of matches, Nasri has been poor consistantly since he has been here (with the odd good game). Silva, Barry, Yaya, Milner are usually consistantly good, with the odd game blip, but they have proved in the past they can do it. So I think it is time to move him on

I agree. I think its time to cut our losses. He just doesn't have the mentality to meet the expectations of the club.
He doesnt have the mentality to meet the expectations of club penguin, let alone our football club. The shithouse.

Agreed. My only reservation would be IF the manager changes whether the successor can get more out of an obviously talented player, but a lazy stroppy player who thinks he's a made man and has no desire.

If this is the permanent Nasri best to sell now while his value remains high and while some clubs haven't realised he's not nearly as good as his reputation states (see: Johnson, Adam).

A new manager might especially if off the ball movement is heavily encouraged. As is, we're too static most of the time hoping the player with the ball will create something.

I'd say Yaya has been very poor pretty much all season. Silva has been reasonable at times but still way off what he is capable of. Wouldn't criticise Barry or Milner, they have limitations but by and large they are steady and perform as well as they can and usually do a decent job for the team. Clearly something isn't right though overall and trying something different might work even if it does feel counter intuitive given that Nasri has been pretty terrible albeit supposedly out of position.

-- Tue Feb 12, 2013 3:57 pm --

That's fair enough. Most people think Sinclair is shite but I'd quite like to at least see him given a proper run. Don't see what harm it can do and just adding some genuine pace to our attack might change things a little.

He cannot be bothered, could be part of the reason RVP didn't come, he's been a handful for the French national team in the past as well (but don't tell anybody associated with Monaco)
