All the other top European sides have that many attacking/creative midfielders. Even Arsenal do.coulsonblue said:can't see us having aguero, isco, silva, navas AND Nasri. So maybe he'll go.
This is where we're lacking the most. Our cover for Silva and Nasri is woeful. Our squad depth in this area is as bad as Sunderland or Stoke's.

Nasri has to stay, the guy is top class and for me he has finally bedded into the team now.
On his day he is one of the best creative players in Europe and personally I think we would be stupid to sell him.
Him and Mancini obviously did not get on perfectly so its probable that he was never going to flourish under Roberto, he needs a Wenger who puts his arm around him all the time, Pellegrini will do that.

But yes I see where you coming from, for me he seems just to keep hold of the ball a tad to long lets hope Pellegrini will sort this out..

His best games the title winning season were Chelsea home, he ran the show from start to finish and scored a sublime goal, against spuds he had 4 assists and a superb goal scored or was you talking about this season? If so he was brilliant at OT!!!

He has had an inconsistent season, no doubt, but if you break it down, it can be attributed to a loss of confidence stemming from the United game earlier on in the season, not to mention countless injuries meaning a stop start season that only seemed to gather pace around the end of March.

Can't figure him out. He can only play well against London clubs. How is this possible?
he's cracking on his day last season for me he was poor but when you factor in the euro incident with the reporter losing 2 uncles the united incident his frame of mind wouldn't be right he played better towards the end of the season and he will be cracking again next year if he gets a decent run in the team and attacks people instead of the crabbing

His problem is consistency though, and if he can improve that under the new manager, maybe he will be a good contributor to the team in the long term, he certainly has the footballing ability, its his mental capacity I have my doubts over.

Samir isn't alone this season in not being at his best consistently.We could probably say that about almost every player with Zaba the stand out exception. Exactly what that's down to we probably will never know for sure but part of it has to be down to the manager.We have struggled for consistency as a team and players have done the same.
It's not been all bad for Samir though has it as he was voted player of the month a short time ago.At his best he is a very high quality player without a doubt and now we need a manager to get the best out of both individuals and the team and we will be serious competitors for all competitions.

hasn't been given enough freedom this year he looks like hes always forced quite wide only allowing 2 simple passes, either down the wing to clichy or back inside to tevez or yaya, just like silva, they both need to be more central allowing them to use their full ability

He is the fans biggest target. I remember the Norwich game, Tevez took far too many touches (surprise, surprise) and basically lost us the opportunity on the attack. He passed to Nasri who was then abused for taking a few touches.
When it looks by way of spatial illusion that the ball is 50/50 between him and another player, he gets called a "tart" etc... for not challenging.
A lot is to do with *that* wall. Show me a player who has never turned his back on a shot and I'll be very surprised.
Gareth Barry, people's favourite "unsung hero" (translated into English = not very good), regularly turns his back on shots.
