Doesn't really matter what Udinese and City agree, if the player says no the deal is a non starter. He wants to goto Barca, so move on.

Udinese are using City to force Barca to match the same offer, but Barca know that Sanchez wants to play for them, so they have the upper hand. This could go on all summer, but the players desire will not change.
Mancini said: “I talked to Sanchez. He said he was willing to come to City.

^^^^^^^^^^^

What do you not understand in the above sentence?
In fairness - he (mancini) would say that wouldn't he...................
And in fairness so would Sanchez... whether it be a case of keeping his options open or just out of politeness to the gentleman that is Bobby Manc

If he signs tomorrow I'll be in fits of laughter all day. Would almost be typical ;)

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell is reportedly set to confirm the signing of Chile and Udinese star Alexis Sanchez in Argentina, taking advantage of an invitation to the opening ceremony of the Copa America on Friday.

Triunfo and La Tercera report that, following Roja coach Claudio Borghi's refusal to let Sanchez leave the national team camp to complete a €40 million transfer, the Barca chief will now travel across the Atlantic in order to put an end to the drawn-out negotiations.

Rosell will attend Argentina's first match with Bolivia in La Plata this Friday, and will then travel to the Chile training camp in order to formally agree terms with the 22-year-old striker.

Barca were forced into action when Borghi flatly ruled out any prospect of his star travelling across the Atlantic to meet with officials in the Spanish club. "Alexis cannot now leave. The deadline was Sunday," he told local press earlier in the week.

City have not given up on landing Sanchez, 22, despite suggestions to the contrary, and are optimistic that their spending power might see off Barcelona's challenge.

*walks off whistling*

If he wanted to join he would of signed in May 2000 when big Joe origanally went in for him as 11 year old to partner big George upfront.

Move on City he had his chance

I love the fact nothing has happened after we've left the room with the biggest bid still left on the table.

Clichy n Nasri deals for 10 million less than Sanchez, they all must be re-thinking values.
