Satellite System

I wouldn't bother with any of the satellite options at the mo until the new sky security measures are fully rolled out, estimated to be complete around Christmas, you could end up with a freeview box for your money.
Isn't there a guy on here who can get cheap sky deals for people?

That is SosaFC but he appears to have not been on for a while!

Can you be more specific as to what security measures that are to be complete?

Buy a skybox f5 from ebay cost £50 connect it to your sky dish and broadband and you can watch all channels including setanta for free. Once you have the equipment and dont know how to set it up message me and i will help you.
total and absolute rubbish.

You will need a cline usual cost between £80-£100 yr

skybox/open box do a job but as a rule i would not touch them pay the extra and get a box capable of enigma2.

pm if you want any more details
We're not all mugs like you, like I said "free" unless your a mug and pay £80-£100 for a cline.

whats a cline?
a cline is a set of numbers and letters telling your stb where to look on the cardshare server and retrieve the programmes.

I'm currently "A Mug" but a helpful pm may change that!

Talkative sprout, I'm by no means an expert but I believe a new method of pairing the provided receiver to the viewing card, wiping out all the cards sat in servers in one go, I know of a few people who's cards have gone, sly also asking for old Thomson boxes back as these may not be affected by the security changes. Some fact some conjecture search the Sat forums for more info

Cheers DWB. Heard similar but it was ages ago and i forgot all about it. They have been messing with the Hd channals of late and putting them in the higher ranges. I assumed it was something to do with BT sport, but now i am not so sure.
