Pelle, can you give us an update mate, how's it working out?

I've decided to get something sorted ready for next season.

I'm a season ticket holder, Sky Sports subscriber and I've got BT Infinity so get the BT matches. I pay a f***ing fortune and, like a tit, I'm not going to stop my Sky sub, I like the quiet life and the easy to use Sky means less aggro from the wife and kids.

But, I don't go to away matches anymore and streams just don't work for me, I've tried it all ways round, PC's, Android boxes, iPads blah, blah, and I still miss half the match trying to find the best stream or it's crap quality.

So forget XBMC etc, can anybody recommend a decent supplier who can fit me a dish and box so that I can watch any matches I'm not going to next season, hassle free is the key.

Its worked out ok - pay some guy £20 a quarter and I get all the UK Sky and a load of Euro stuff - there's not been a single PL game or League/FA Cup game we were in that I couldn't watch. I thought that foreign commentary would bother me but to be honest I don't notice after a while! I can't get BY Sport though - always have to watch that on a foreign channel.

As with Sky, really bad weather can affect the signal but generally its ok.

not channels I really watch but just put sky arts hd 1 on and its working something about paul simon on
They will go off when the card updates on your server. The HD sports channels will be the last to go.

For me I have a dm800 so I can just get an cable tuner from aliexpress (£17) and swap it with the sat tuner. Also plan to get a Premier League Pass sub next season. It has every game live, English comms, 720p, 4500k. I will airplay from an iPad > Apple TV.

My protek 9750hd has finally packed up, faulty power supply I think.
Anyway I'm looking for a replacement receiver.
I've been looking at the vu duo 2/solo 2, but have some questions.
Now knowing I can't really get the answers I want on an open forum, it's like fight club : )
Anybody whos got any of the above and knows what's what any chance you can drop me a pm so I can ask a few questions.
Thanks.

Got a zgemmahs2 box from sat tech uk - http://www.sattechuk.com/

I'm a bit of a technophobe so no use asking me questions, but was very easy to install and they are great with any questions.
Looks a decent box, I'd prefer to go for a more mainstream brand, that way I know I'll get support in the future, I've got a cheap receiver in the loft, it was great to start with and then the software just dried up.
I'll have a better read up on the zgemma later, it's another option so thanks.

total and absolute rubbish.

You will need a cline usual cost between £80-£100 yr

skybox/open box do a job but as a rule i would not touch them pay the extra and get a box capable of enigma2.

pm if you want any more details

I get lines for £45 a year and they are the best available with 24 hour support, so it's not bollocks!

Place in Stockport sells the zgemma boxes for £67 a time and can set it all up for you there and then
