Say what you want about Di Canio and his politics; he has certainly turned Sunderland around since he's arrived. Would they have gone down under O'Neill? Maybe. But Paolo has instilled a bit of desire in them.

Also, a big well done to Birmingham for beating Leeds.

Arsenal celebrating getting through to the next round of the fourth place cup

well done Tarquins

Everton pretty much out of the race now so 3 London teams chasing 2 places in CL.

bad result for us tomorrow, makes it more of a must-win for Spurs.

Though them having to attack us may play in our hands

This. We have had problems this season against teams who have ''parked the bus'' against us. When teams have a go, it leaves gaps at the back for us to exploit.

If they make the same mistake as last year and do the above we'll score 2 maybe 3 more than them - just need those tired legs to have recuperated!!!

And we don't have "they were bottom when I joined but I kept them up" in every bloody interview by him.
He will no doubt blame the mess the club was in but forget how much he spent and how many of his own he brought in

I think it was probably a big reason why he took the job in the first place, his excuses (in his mind) were already there for him and he saw it as a no lose situation, he'll still use the above and re how much he spent no doubt, rightly or wrongly, he'll say that they needed to 'bed in'.

Hope Wigan go down anyway, purely because of Dave Whelan.
I feel sorry for Martinez. He tries to play football, not hoofball (a la Pulis) and he seem a sound bloke as well. But agreed; Whelan is a, to use a BlueMoon adjective, thundercunt.

Totally with you on that Jim, I like Martinez too, have a lot of time for him, his teams play good football aswell, don't mind the genuine fans either, but it just goes to show how the acts and ramblings of one thunderc*nt can put so much ill will on a club.

Those wanting Wigan to go down should look at our last 7 results against them: 3-0, 2-0, 1-0, 3-0, 1-0, 2-0, 1-0... all City wins!

Also they're a local away day with a big allocation for us. They also treat us very well, opened a lounge/bar for many of us this season because it was so cold.
