Save Our Ruben Interim

I wonder, if he knew then what he knows now, would he still accept the gig? They loved him in Lisbon. Reading the comments in the caff, some of them are a bit meh about him.
What’s a bit strange imo is that you normally get a few wins in the ‘new manager bounce’ phase…..I think he’s fucked and will be gone before Feb

When’s he coming here for a month?
Maybe this was the master plan all along?
Pep saw the cliff coming due to the squad age, lack of rest, etc. and has made exit plans with Khaldoon etc.
As part of this we had Amorim lined up as successor so told him to go to the rags for a year and get a quick holiday bonus while doing as much damage as he can.
When he’s released to us he’ll have cleared ground and strong mandate to rebuild it all his way.
In another 5 years Pep is refreshed and comes back to go again…

We're going through an awful run at the moment, but we know we'll come good. This is just an unfortunate blip in what has been a phenomenal few years under Pep and we will very soon be back at the top again. The rags have no cause for such optimism because (outside of sad cafe) many of them see the writing on the wall, they are well aware that no matter how the media dress it up their club is in one hell of a state from top to bottom. A succession of managers, and arguably the most disastrous player recruitment system in the history of the game (Zirkzee, Antony...just what the actual fuck!!) is not going to change the club's fortunes overnight.

From the very little I have seen of the vermin in their last few matches, I would say they have at least 8 regular players in their main squad who are simply not good enough for the Premier league. And most of these sub-par players are on about £250 to £350 grand a week. FFS! The head of their recruitment strategy must have dropped a couple of acid tabs before looking into potential signings.

I get so much satisfaction when I say that, in my view, they are going to be amongst the also-rans for a good 10 to 15 years before there is any sign of improvement. But all the rest of us will have been improving as well in that time, so effectively they are running up a downwards escalator just to stay relevant.

Come on lads, we need to do the #together thing again.

Sometimes I know we can all end up feeling like our players, these #SO? campaigns are relentless but, we didn't sign up just to be happy clappers & glory hunters.

He's gone from being the second coming to needing to win the Thursday night cup already.

Time to blame it all on the scruffy one as the UMS lot and hiding behind him.

I almost feel sorry for him. There is still toxicity in that dressing room - the garnacho / rashford thing seemed to indicate that. Until the individuals and that culture is dealt with I don't think they can make much progress.
Never feel sorry for a rag. Not even almost.

Not even AMoron. Nobody forced him to take up the rôle. If he had anything about him and a wide knowledge of European football, he would have been well aware of the state of the club before he took up his post.

He is now a rag and will for the rest of his life, he will be tarred with that brush.

He’s started to fall into the familiar United manager pattern.

He’s not smiling so much these days. He will visibly start to age (this is not permanent, Moyes looks 10 years younger now than when he got sacked). Grumpiness will be apparent in his press conferences (not helped by the leaks from the squad, not the roof).

He’ll do well to last 18 months, the booing has started already, earlier than any of his predecessors.

I really don’t know why they wouldn’t give it to Giggsy?

Even they'll wait until giggsy has had his re-trial.

Water leaking from the ceiling in the press conference room.

Have to feel sorry for the guy, must be mind boggling for him that the biggest club in England has the same facility maintenance levels of Rochdale in the National League.

How embarrassing, not just AMoron, but for the self-styled world's biggest club.

It really is pathetic that such a supposedly large organisation should allow its facilities to fall into such disrepair.

I think this guy will come good, pains me to say it.
Others here and elsewhere have said this about all their managers since fergie, it won't change. We are going through a blip in form but everyone knows it will come good as City are run well unlike this lot and sticking yet another "chosen one" ain't going to change anything much for them.

Stop giving the rags tips...

I mean, actually how dare you there's nowt wrong with Rashford and Garnacho at the swamp, they're key central figures to any good camaraderie in that dressing room... Both now and in the future.

To any lurking rags, these aren't the scapegoats you're looking for...

I reckon he’ll do a Coppell.

Gave me Coppell vibes instantly I think long-term he'll feel hopeless with the task at hand just like Coppell did, he genuinely thought he could sort us out during his first few days but unsurprisingly felt overwhelmed by the shit show.

This is a slower version for the rags and here's one I made earlier with that in mind and sent to a few mates a while back, think he'll quit or end up wearing a straight jacket if he stays there too long.

I'd feel sorry for poor Ruben Coppell-rim...

If he wasn't a dirty rag.

Mate if that was actually true I’d wear my old Utd shirt all day including a trip to the Trafford centre

I reckon eventually they will properly improve, when? Who knows but they can’t stay this shit forever nobody does.
Look at forest for example years in the doldrums and now playing really well.
And here is the crux of the problem for the rags that their fans or the more recent ones say from 99 just don’t get, they’ll never ever be as dominant as they once were
Everybody now has money, more money than the rags had when they were winning titles
Top players are now signing for mid table clubs not just the top 4/5.
Their recruitment has been borderline inside trading i mean who the actual fuck sanctioned signings like the fidget spinner for £85 million and he’s not the only one as we all know. The diving moaning **** splinter is/ was probably their best player and wouldn’t make the bench in the top 4 clubs. Scruffy has started the process cutting back on everything being well aware of the billion plus debt levels.
Previous regimes trying and still trying to copy our model etc.
Like KB has said previously it’s gonna take them at least 10 years to be title contenders year after year. The amount of money needed to undo 13 years of mismanagement
Will run into billions. Sure they will win games like they always do but the days of the scum riding high regularly at the top are long gone
I’ll never ever forget that CLUB endorsed banner.
I hope for the rest of my lifetime they never get it right, 13th and going nowhere fast and it’s fucking glorious.
