One year out on loan. He needs that. Too risky to make his "learning curve mistakes" here.

Even Zinedine Cleverley spent a year at Wigan. Johnny "next Vidic" Evans same at Sunderland. Pelé Welbeck also.

So Rocky Balboa Savic shouldnt be different.

Instead of sending him on loan & giving the lad chance etc etc. Why don't we just sell him & sign a young player who is better than him ? Why does turning Savic into a player have to be our problem ?

Or are we supposed to believe that a lad who lacks pace, strength, aerial ability & positional sense is the best prospect available in the world & we can't possibly get anyone better ?

Well I feel I'm supposed to believe our manager who seems to have a fair eye for talent.

Wouldn't go that far, to be fair to the lad. Poor? Yes. Inconsistent? Yes. Unreliable, at the moment? Undoubtedly.

How old is ? 21? Plenty of time for the lad to improve. He will become a great player.

Can't think of one 'great' player where you couldn't see something special at the age of 21....... Can think of quite a few 'good' ones though. There's a massive , massive difference.

Vidic was on loan at Spartak Subotica from Red Star Belgrade at the same age and was as yet uncapped by Serbia-Montenegro.

Fair shout. I actually think he may turn out to be very decent, just not great.
