To be fair, nobody voted for Truss, and Brexit was a referendum that was stupidly brought forward.
So you think Johnson should get a pass for his role in all of it?

I never said that and my original said that the entire system is a circus. I think the whole system is a calamity and I think the whole concept of Brexit was ridiculous without any sort of pathway. Cameron called bluff on the general public over nothing more than a concept, which then became the focus. Theresa May was futile, Boris did something about it although I think there should have been a second referendum to present the basis of what the outcomes were likely to be. Then there was covid etc....So you think Johnson should get a pass for his role in all of it?

I think a lot of things got confused over furlough and that is where the confusion and turning point has come in.
I guess maybe I have? He never really had a chance dealing with Brexit and Covid. My biggest beef is people becoming career politicians through the system and being incapable (often not through their own fault) of being able to relate to the public. Anyway, this is far too deep for Saturday evening. You see you’ve literally just give him a pass, his part In the original Brexit vote and his “getting Brexit done” have cost this country very dearly and that’s without taking into account the all the other stuff as for the covid period well not many populist leaders came out well.
As for for the current incumbents they’ve been far from perfect so far and have particularly shown a massive lack of self awareness with regards to let’s be kind gifts, they get four years and let’s see what it brings.
I don’t want politicians whose biggest skill is relating to the public. That’s how we get idiots like Johnson in chargeI guess maybe I have? So what do you want? Career politicians that live in a bubble?I don’t want politicians whose biggest skill is relating to the public. That’s how we get idiots like Johnson in charge
Yeah because that’s the only alternative if they’re not “relatable”.So what do you want? Career politicians that live in a bubble?
Agreed, but you didn't say that. :) I don't see it happening under the current system.Yeah because that’s the only alternative if they’re not “relatable”.
How about politicians who can understand complex issues, analyse information, make sober informed decisions. Boring stuff like that
