Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

It's almost like no one knows and we're going round in circles.

If Levy and Kaldoon are both at the match then my bet is this gets done Saturday evening... they both get locked in a room and Kaldoon squeezes every penny from him.

I think if that if it's true that Soriano blocked the deal, then it's unlikely the deal will be resurrected unless the conditions of sale are changed considerably.

He’s had one season with us. And was still the third highest assister in the league. Didn’t play every week and getting used to playing in a Pep team is notoriously difficult. Then again he was a shiny new toy last season but isn’t this season
No shiny toy going on here mate…hence the Bobb reference. Stats don’t back up your argument. Marmoush didn’t have a ‘notoriously’ difficult time integrating.

Marmoush has had a difficult time integrating into the side. I don't know how he interacts with Haaland. Is he an alternative to Haaland? If he plays with Haaland, then where?

Marmoush seems to be most effective when he is the striker.

I am sure we will work it out, but it isn't sorted yet.

At the age Savinho is Marmoush was playing for Wolfsburg's B team or on loan at 2nd Division St Pauli team.

At the age Marmoush has integrated well he's 5 years older than Sav.

If you're to draw a comparison its probably better to compare them both at 20/21.

If it’s true and he blocked the deal and Peps “dream signing” ends up at Liverpool it most likely the first time pep has not got what he’s wanted from the board as soon as Tikxi leaves as well

Good god not the nonsense age comparison stuff again

I suspect that might well be part next summer’s business, unless we see a drastic improvement in output and productivity this year
Just had a look, 14 goals in 84 appearances last 2 seasons. Is that what you’re judging him against, or is it by chances created?
Genuine question, what sort of numbers do you think we need to see from him?

We don’t get to decide how other teams line up against us tbf
Exactly, BUT we can negate the opposition's doubling/trebling up tactics by giving support to our constantly isolated player, instead of expecting him to produce miracles that no other player I can think of does consistently when facing so many defenders on his own.

We need to stop getting on Doku's back, unless we can cite players who can regularly do what many fans expect him to do against 2-3 players every match.

This is where he's been hung out to dry by Pep's inverted system. We need to stop blaming Doku & play to his strengths.

I always thought one of Doku or Savio would go next season, thought both deserved one season but unsure if they would ultimately prove good enough.

So I suppose this money might be too good to turn down.

I think he ms worth around £50 million with the other £20 being potential.

However, he did seem most likely to make it out of the 2.

Rodrygo we would only pay that money if he was Peps dream signing, but I wouldn’t be sure he is.

I think the frustration for Doku is mixed with his success.

When he brings 2-3 players over and we recycle looking for the gaps we know this is Pep’s way, when he gets isolated and he runs at the player, he has a fairly decent cut in and go for the far post.

But his go on the outside and pick a player out is terrible.

His feet, acceleration and strength is such an asset, but his defensive work, final ball is frustrating.

We can see the potential and that is where the criticism comes from.
