Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

Savio is dross. Bookmark this if you want.

And I know for a fact he’ll be dragging his bottom lip along the floor as soon as he’s dropped.

I dunno Big Yaya this list seems pretty solid

If i had a player whose biggest statistical comparable were Yamal, Vinicius, Son, Kvara and Wirtz I'd keep him.

I’d say after the treble and having pep as manager we were world class maybe it’s the uncertainty of when pep will pack it in,the 115 charges or the club just trying to be smart and do things on the cheap im
Not sure
It was Pep's decision & Pep's decision alone to go again & again with the bulk of his treble squad. He admitted he was offered the opportunity to start our rebuild but declined, & Khaldoon confirmed as much in his post season address.

The squad situation we're in has nothing to do with uncertainty over Pep, the 115 or City trying to be smart. However, it might have something to do with Pep actually planning to leave this summer & wanting to leave the squad rebuild to his successor.

In that respect, the spotlight falls on Txiki as DoF, whose role it was to ensure there's continuity with our playing ethos & squad, irrespective of who the coach was. Something has gone very very wrong since the treble.

only there was a rebuild, We signed 4 players and spent close to £200m

All of whom have largely stank the gaff out relative to what came before.

There was no rebuild on account of the rebuild falling flat on its arse, is what they’d like you to believe.

Don’t fall for the PR, they tried and failed as they did again in Jan, and as it stands probably this summer as well.

We tinkered around the edges & didn't sign replacements of similar or better quality & not enough of them.

Our rebuild only started in earnest in January 2025. We held onto our ageing & injury-prone treble stars for far too long. They grew old & more injury-prone together, & most importantly, we never signed adequate competition & cover for Rodri.

Lol. Any list that has a past it Son, Garnacho and Madueke on it is about as useful as bog roll made out of extremely thin tissue paper, because those 3 are fucking wank.

Did you ask AI for that list?

Time will tell NQ!

No one would be happier than me to have to eat humble pie.

But from what I’ve seen, he’s nowhere near the conversation with those players… maybe Madueke and Garnacho on that list.

The rebuild hasn’t even really started since those players we bought for the new era don’t start or are all loaned out. Until Khusanov starts it’s not a rebuild for me. Our defense isn’t working and the same players are leading it. Same as the LB position in the last years now it’s the RB position which we don’t care about.

I would have sold at those prices.

Extremley talented but seems a player that need to play weekly not in and out, so is never gonna get that one good season nof Girona oportunity imho.
with sporadic games he could ask for a move next year and we see 20M knocked off that valuation by others

We were/are a world class team the rebuild doesn’t start until we start signing world class players. We seem to be always looking for players with a low buy out clause or players around the 50/60m mark. Instead of buy 5/6 players over two transfers window spend the same money on 2/3 world class players.

Glad he's staying, think his ceiling is so high if he's just trusted

Not going to write off a 21 year old who hit 8 assists in his debut season when we were at our very worst

Hope we play him off the left where he's looked better and where he's been best to get the most out of Haaland

I agree. I think he has bags of potential.

Dont get me wrong I'm 100% with you on the absolute mess we have made of the transfer windows since then.

We have spent over 500m since the treble

And we still don't have a RB
Still no back up, replacement for rodri
Still no replacement for KDB
Still no wide options with proper output in terms of goals and assists
Still no back up replacement for Haaland.

Its difficult to believe.

I’m not bothered either way if Savinho stays or goes.

But if City are not selling him, I’m glad, as that **** Levy can fuck right off.

We don’t need your FFP, PSR, PL, Masters and Red Cartel money Levy, you absolute ****!

City are now bigger than Spurs.

Don’t come to City begging to sign Savinho.

It’s not happening.

City and City fans will never, ever, forget what you have done to our club in public and behind the scenes with Masters and your 3 fucking red shirt cartel mates. And with the Harry Kane transfer saga.

Now fuck off Levy, you twat!

Apologies for all the swear words, but I think I speak on behalf of every City fan in the world on this matter.

Agree - Txiki moving on is one of the biggest opportunities we have. He was great for a long period of time and put some great structures in place but in the last 4 years our only good transfer business has been youth sales. Aside from Alvarez was great business and Gvardiol is good but nothing an 80m defender shouldn’t be. We/he dropped off and we have regressed from the stand out club and squad to now being part of the pack. Liverpool and Arsenal have caught/overtook us with others closing the gap. Largely due to our failings in the market.

Both wingers have to step up this season. Compared to what we used to have on the wings, which I think a few fans took for granted, Savinho and Doku are levels below Mahrez , Sterling and Sane.

you dont realise what you had until its gone. I used to be in the FFS Mahrez camp to be honest but compared to what we have now, would rip your arm off for the Mahrez that we had back here at us, our winger output is terrible and not sure it gets better to be honest as back in the day there was more space for the wingers but also prime KDB and Merlin feeding them?
