Savinho extends his contract to 2031

He was under contract and hasn't shown enough to warrant a huge extension.

Strange time to do it when he looked to be out of the door.

If he shows enough this season then offer extension in the summer.

When the chips are down for us he disappears.

Big improvement needed to warrant the extension.

Just had to check his stats,

21 years of age

32 appearance over the last 2 seasons

1 goal.

1 goal in 32 as an attacking winger is pretty poor by anyone's standards.
His stats also put him as our top assister last year, so depending on what you want from a young player you could say his stats were sensational

If Sterling only got 8 assists and 1 goal in a season, he would have been run out of town, he was disliked by many despite scoring over 130 goals for this club and god knows how many assists on top of that.

We know Sav has got some talent and potential but as people keep saying about Lewis, we are a win now team and does he deserve that place in the team if he isn't producing more than he has?

I admit I'm not so keen and would have taken the 70m no problem at all, I would never be a hater and hope he fails though, I'd be overjoyed if he turned into a Sane/Sterling style winger, we have certainly missed them,

Can't say I am his biggest fan but he's clearly got talent. If he toughens up and goes a bit more direct and obviously improves his numbers then we've got a player on our hands.

I thought he was good in the first 3 months of him being here. But not done much(anything) since
Hopefully the contract settles him down and we don’t look back

I think that 70m is a bit like the emperors clothes.

Cracking news.

There’s clearly a very, very good winger in there.

He either kicks on in early this season Doku-esque fashion and we get a red hot player or he stalls and we sell him for a profit.

Win win.
Agreed. We have nothing to lose. I think he could be great coming off the bench in the latter stage of matches for starters.

They live for someone in blue to hate on. Gone on forever.

At the end of the day, Dave the painter or Sue the train driver know jack shit. They merely have opinions. The real people who see him day in, day out have made this decision. That’s who you listen to.
I don’t think people are haters but think the lad needs to produce the goods on the pitch, he’s been very poor this season and should be doing. Not seen anything to suggest that we shouldn’t have sold him to Spurs for the amount they offered.
I hope I’m wrong
