Think of Kayky and Savio in a similar manner. Both come from the same Brazilian agency. Kayky is on City's books. Savio is parked on Troyes' books by City. Kayky's ceiling is unfortunately kinda obvious and kinda low. Savio's ceiling is still being figured out and might be crazy - like a ffs v2.0. Think he's fascinating - younger than Breckin yet apparently deemed the starter at RW for a mid-table La Liga team. Girona flew to Italy a few days ago and played the champs Napoli in a 1-1 friendly, Savio started. Hope he has solid health this year, huge potential for dev.

The Girona regs just played a few mins today at the end of the match. Tomorrow they play Lazio in a friendly, probably because Taty Castellanos was sold there. Yan Couto looked fine today, but the new kid has shown up and kinda taken his spot.

And that Roger Gabriel kid apparently played a match with the Girona academy vs Espanyol yesterday. Again, a 16yo talent parked on Bahia's books by City.

Cheers for the info. Didn't know Taty had been sold to Lazio - that will be interesting. Shame for Couto as he had established himself.

Watching Girona-Lazio I was pleasantly surprised by Savio, a footballer on loan from Troyes, a club belonging to the City group. At only 19 years old, he played a very serious game against Lazio. A lot of impudence and imbalance, qualities that are less and less visible in football.

The match ended with a driving Savio attack where he set up Pablo Torres only for Torres to blow the golden chance.
Couto looked great, too, playing the 2nd half. Girona will be a fun follow this season - kinda like following Sheffield United last season.

Savio played the entire match, btw. Good preseason for Savio - shown well against the top 2 teams in Serie A last season. Fingers crossed somebody does a YT vid of this performance.
 
girona has an interesting team, think they are doing the right steps to consolidate their position la liga. Savinho is an interesting piece for them, its also easier for latin players to adapt to europe in spain or portugal due to the language, weather and pace of play
 
Doing better than most of our loanees to Girona. Already starting on the wing for them in La Liga.

Full of CFG signings there with Herrera and Aleix Garcia in midfield and Couto RB.
