Superb win, first half I thought we were a bit flat despite going in at 3 nil. Second half tempo was better and the passing and movement were excellent.

Ilkay my MOTM, his passing and all round contribution was very good. Good to see Leroy back scoring and having a big impact on the game.
Tougher tests ahead and Porto in the next round please.

Gorgeous football. And funnily, enough, a game where the build-ups and assists were as good as the goals themselves.

Gundo was magnificent all game - my MotM. Some of those through-balls and chipped passes were inspired. Sane had a brilliant second half, while Zin put in another impressive display.

I missed most of the first half due to family commitments (yes, sometimes there are more important things than football) and got back just in time to see the 3rd one go in. We played some magnificent stuff tonight and any opposition teams watching that will not want to face that. Will be interesting to see who we get drawn against on Friday.

Schalke were awful, arguably the worst team we have played at home this season and I include Burton and Huddersfield. Can anyone explain why, with all the VAR reviews, subs, Danilo injury etc there was zero added time.

According to Souness. He should have saved Bernardo's goal, Foden's was a great finish and Jesus curled it around a crowd of players right in front of him.
