Schalke Post Match Thread

According to Souness. He should have saved Bernardo's goal, Foden's was a great finish and Jesus curled it around a crowd of players right in front of him.

He definitely should have saved Jesus' goal, even Gabby couldn't believe it went in. Looked like he was moving in slow motion, and he still got down to the ball and let the ball through.

Schalke were awful, arguably the worst team we have played at home this season and I include Burton and Huddersfield. Can anyone explain why, with all the VAR reviews, subs, Danilo injury etc there was zero added time.

I think it's more of the game and tie is over so why prolong it (which are not the rules but hey ho).

Think he knew the shot was going towards that post but there's no way he could have read the curl on it through others bodies.

Missed 2nd 3 rd and 4 th goal . Watched on my phone at the airport. Some beautiful goals .
Can’t wait to watch the highlights.

Thought the crowd and atmosphere was excellent again tonight
51,500 was an impressive crowd considering it was a schoolnight, the weather was woeful, it's only the round of 16 and let's be fair we had the cat 90% in the bag after the away leg.

It appears every time we put a team to the sword it is always how awful the opposition are , just maybe we are developing into one of the best teams in europe under the best manager and no one can live with us , just a thought. As for tonights performance simply superb , every single player and the substitutes and a great turn out form our supporters and decent atmosphere on a shite cold horrible evening ,the Schalke fans were not bouncing so much at the end , they will be slinking through the back streets of Manchester on their way home , quiet as a mouse
