Not really although he tried to say the swamp was rocking which was laughable, hes was just a sly little c**t about it, maybe they should have talked about the reasons perhaps it was like that instead of taking delight and having digs.

Scholes and Ferdinand having a go at City at every single opportunity.

If anyone believes there is not an anti-City agenda via the media and the Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal ex-players, pundits and supporters that fill it, last night should have confirmed there is without any doubt.

Does any club apart from City get picked up about empty seats ? If not then I assume every club has filled stadia at every match.

Last night attendance was 37,509 for a reduced capacity for European games of ~ 44,000 - 45,000. Thus although not fantastic, reasonable.

City have sold all tickets for each Prem League game home and away this season.

I went to the Emirates to watch City a couple of weeks ago, and there were empty seats galore.

For all the nonsense the ginger twat came out with last night, the most jaw dropping comment was that fucking slug Chiles pondering the point at which "a bunch of mercenaries become a team". Truly incredible

Scholes was going on about not believing City had great team spirit and I've not seen it, well he saw it when we beat at Wembley in the semi, he got sent off, he saw it when he made his come back in the FA cup when Vinny got sent off, with ten men we fucking murdered them. He saw it when we clawed back that eight point gap in the process beating them at our place without them having a shot and absolutely annilating them at the swamp. Worry about your own club, you ginger tosser.

City fans are not stupid, we know why FFP was brought in and how the draw is fixed. The so called experts should spend some time pointing this out.

If they reserved their bile for Platini I might take some notice of them.

I go to the matches but don't enjoy them, why was there not a straight red for the penalty decision I should think Demichellis was wondering why?

UEFA = CORRUPTION

It was fucking shameful.

We are to football what the USA are to North fucking Korea when it comes to media coverage.

Tiny dick pig rag **** can go fuck himself...."magical nights at the swamp" my fucking arse.

Who have the rags got this week in the CL?

do you really think so? i don't mate
i don't know what the fans who stay away reasons are for not going
and before anyone gets on their high horse
kids to feed, 400 mile round trip etc its not you
its the feet up beer, curry, or pub rather than getting down to the stadium to support the lads
would love to hear those reasons
a rocking stadium could of made the difference

Everybody has a different reason, some city fans on this very forum we're saying that they would not attend champs league nights due to what has happened over FFP. My reason is basically financial as is a lot of other working class fans,
People should not preach.

Is this the level we've come too?

Blame everyone apart from ourselves? Fuck the excuses for not being there tonight, I'm sick of hearing the shit spouted on here to justify their decision not to go and support the lads. Everyone who normally goes but didn't bother tonight is the reason Scholes had us on toast tonight. its your fault not his.

For all you conspiracy theorists who think we are being stitched up let me draw you another scenario. Scholes and ITV turn up tonight to find a packed stadium with a hostile atmosphere that drives the team on to a glorious victory. How much fun would Scholes have had then?

I had 8 rows of empty seats in front of me as I watched from my season ticket in tier 3 of the East stand. Disgrace. "We've not taken to it", "the ticket prices", "I can't afford it", PATHETIC. Are our fans really the poorest people in football? Really?, the scoucers who have fuck all will sell out every CL match. It was the crowd who dragged them over the line in their last game in the CL.

Tonight we had no crowd, hence no atmosphere and no passion. Sheikh Mansour must wonder why he bothered.

Either support City or don't. Get to the game, forget the excuses, find a way, and make yourself heard. Period.

Ok, but let's remember that teams like Liverpool and Chelsea have huge global support that we don't.

Despite what the club spout about being a global brand, in terms of supporters that go to games, we are still a local club with only local support to call on.

We are not a huge, dare I say massive, club, with fans coming from all over the world to watch us.

I was, like you, at the game tonight, and while most of the people around me were not the seasoncard holders I usually say hello to, the ones I spoke to had local accents.

It may seem pathetic that you had rows of empty seats in front of you, but those seats are not going to be filled by legions of fans spread around the world coming to watch us. They were empty because our largely local support simply can't afford to go to every game we play at home.

There are enough threads on the subject of unaffordable tickets in this forum written by local people who are pissed off they can't afford to watch City as much as they used to for that to be understandable.

I work at Manchester airport, and I can tell you there is no shortage of supporters of United and Liverpool jetting in every time they play, whatever the competition is, even the Capital One cup..

You wouldn't even know City were playing given the lack of supporters passing through when we are at home.

I think the club is trying to run before before it can walk at the moment with regard to ticket prices, and I think that was reflected in the attendance tonight.

We are not as big a club as those that run the club think we are, and we won't be for quite some time.

Our largely local support can't afford it!

^^ Agree with this, look guys we have the support to easily fill a 60k stadium but we do not have the money that is being asked from us, they really need to make football affordable for everyone, even people on minimum wage.

Never going to happen.

Why?

Financial Fair Play.

Performance average, atmosphere average but just like many times over recent seasons ALL to play for. We didn't lose and we're still in the competition we just have to actually believe that we can beat these teams. I hate the thought of us needing someone with a megaphone getting the crowd going but there is nothing worse than having a comparatively small section of away fans singing and chanting for several minutes only to reply with a meek rendition of 'Blue Moon'........
Slightly worrying is that our owners obviously want to be Champions of Europe and are gearing the club up to be a European power house so I Just hope and pray that they don't see a below capacity crowd and maybe a little bit of apathy and/or negativity towards the competition and start asking 'Well, if the fans don't really want it why should we?'
Still, everything to play for........COME ON CITY !!

It was shit without a doubt but the **** started with the hatchet job before a ball was fucking kicked claiming that the swamp would be full 10 hours before kick off on a magical European night and Chiles telling the world we are still a team of mercenaries.

The coverage is a disgrace regardless of how we perform or the result.
