Quality assessment of Scholes. Basically the man has zip all to say that is original, interesting or insightful.

Last night we had Scholes in the studio and Clive "cleeeesheeeee"" Tyldsley, another self confessed Man Utd supporter. Up to the point where he joined Aston Villa, we also had Roy effin Keane, another well known Rag diddy boy providing further unbiased City comment.

The little spiteful twunt is so opinionated, in the Independent and on tv...would love to ask him, face to face, what he thinks about the current utd assistant manager fucking his brothers wife , making her have an abortion, and if he thinks such an act of family fun makes him a deceitful man who cannot be trusted, and weather, in all the sordid circumstances this makes him;

A. An ideal candidate to be involved in management at the biggest, most famous club on the planet.and:

B.An ideal person to go into business with when deciding to become joint owners of a lower league football club.

Also, following his attack on yaya toure , if he himself had any siblings, and if one of them tragically died, if he could see himself playing top class football , without a dip in form weeks after the event....The point here being, that any criticism of any player should always be balanced, not spiteful and the ginger pigs failure to even acknowledge yaya,s loss as a possible reason for loss of form means that the ex rag should not be entrusted with such lofty platforms to air his views.

Fuck off scholes.
On the other hand, and rather than wasting all those words on someone who would struggle to assimilate the blurb written on the back of a cornflakes packet, you could just twat the vapid homunculus into orbit.

maybe.
but, but in reality. i,m never gonna meet him face to face ...so articulating my thoughts on bm is the most satisfying option available to me.
the pen is mightier than the sword.

It's clear Scholes and Ferdinand have a very selective memory. Or no memory at all.

Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand slammed the Etihad atmosphere... do they remember Old Trafford's 'prawn sandwich brigade' and United selling cut-price tickets to kids?

Wow!!!!
He's had an incendiary opinion about our club and fans on a night where in truth he was correct (the atmos was dreadful - YAYA was poop - the tactics were totally wrong). Is it because he's a rag he gets torrid abuse, or are truth hurts statements not allowed against our club? The city fans I know have much tougher skin and find it all quite laughable!

Shrug your shoulder to it an move on lads or it's statins and EKG's all they way.

It's not just Man Utd fans with selective memories. How about Chelsea (see link below) with 9 of there 10 lowest attendances since Abramovich took over being in the CL.

It's not what he said that bothered me but rather that he was given a platform on national tv to aim such negative jibes at us during a format that traditionally skews its coverage in the club's favour.
The Champion's League clash between a British and foreign side and who do ITV get in? A player from a bitter rival who makes no bones about his distaste for us and who wastes no time in sticking the boot into the British club and its supporters.

It is INCONCEIVABLE that this would happen with any other club. That they would be treated with such little regard.

Imagine ITV inviting Gerrard on to slag off United during one of their CL home games. And the cosy bunch of c***s chuckling away at the lack of atmosphere at the 'Theatre of Dreams'.
Imagine them inviting Henry to take unnecessary potshots at Mourinho at the Bridge during a European night.

It simply would never ever happen.

And then we have Chiles calling our players 'mercenaries'. Jesus Christ, again just try and picture him saying that about United's ridiculously expensive squad!

What makes this ten times worse is the reason for it. ITV dont hate us but they know a sizable section of their demographic do. So to appease them - on a night that has nothing to do with them save for being casual observers and hoping the domestic side loses (a role we've had to endure for decades prior to recent times) - they snide on us, basically winking at the camera at the multitude of plastic reds half-watching in their armchairs.

It's not what Scholes said that bothers me. It's the staggering disrespect afforded to us by ITV that bothers me.

Few articles in the Daily Mail critical of Scholes' comments.

He's not actually that well liked in the media and, if he keeps coming out with stupid comments, expect more articles critising him.

Don't fall for the bullshit blues. 37k is a good support especially for a team that has grown so much in recent history.

I reckon you will be able to find 100 lower attendances and within then will be some huge clubs. The Italians regularly got lower than 20k for cup games even the mighty Juventus. Then I'd love to see the top 50 attendances and I reckon the rags wouldn't be in it ;-)

As for Scholes he's managed to air brush their prawn sandwich history by going unchallenged. Since when did selling out matter, it's a recent thing that only became important when the rags started selling out.

Shows ferdinands business sense when he thinks a team shouldn't expand their stadium because on 2-3 out of 25 they don't have 100% occupancy.

I haven't seen on this thread yet that at old trafford they are forced to join the cup schemes when buying a season ticket, how many season tickets do they sell there? oh and yes scholes is a ****.

For someone who supposedly has no agent, he doesn't half get a lot of gigs theses days.

Can't win, staying away from CL games because the competition is bent and pointless and the refs are corrupt but stopping in and listening to this ginger ape is enough to finally tune out of ITV CL coverage altogether.
Wish we could just say thanks but the draws a joke, think we'll take a rain check and give our place to somebody else.

What exactly is a rain check and how does one take one?

Thought I'd hate Neville being a pundit but to be fair he doesn't say much wrong - Scholes has let his mouth go since he retired

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet (I haven't read the whole thread), the official capacity of the ground is 48k, but we loose a few hundred seats due to segragation, then this season we've lost about an extra 3k or so because of the building work, on top of this the capacity has to be reduced still further for champions league games as the larger pitchside screens mean we can't use the first three or four rows, by my reconing that's about another 4k, the official attendence of 37.5k means we were probably only about 3k short of a sell out.

On CL nights the capacity is more likely to be approx.43,000,so we are 6000 down.

That's the real point and it should be sorted at a higher level in ITV...

[[/quote]It's not what Scholes said that bothers me. It's the staggering disrespect afforded to us by ITV that bothers me.

Adrian Infantile is well named and apart from the anchor BT Owen is perhaps the worst pundit/presenter on TV.
As for that nice Mr Scholes, unprofessional is the best way to describe him. He actually showed himself up and was a poor advert for ex pro players.
We were poor on the night true, but the fact that Scholes got ripped into us even before a ball was kicked proves that he came to the game with an anti City agenda.
Enough ITV don't bite the hand that feeds you.
We have a way to get back........simply don't buy any products from the firms who advertise during their match coverage.....the one tune ITV does dance to is the one played by their advertisers.
