Scholes, ITV disgrace

Just get a fucking ex blue on instead of all the rags and dippers, itv should be ashamed of themselves.

But they don't, because us City fans are only a very small part of the target audience, most of whom don't really like us, and are tuning in to see us fail. Having pundits and presenters sticking the boot into City is part of the "entertainment package". It's not an agenda, it is simply giving the masses what they want.

Sad but very very true

correct me if im wrong but don't united make them buy cup tickets as part of season ticket package

league cup last year was first time not in scheme

I actually thought that Chiles and Dixon were embarrassed for him and tried very hard to steer him away from slagging us off.

I endured precisely 30 seconds of the studio punditry before hitting the mute button. Chiles and Scholes are among the last people who's 'opinions' about a City game are worth hearing.

the main trouble is the city square the ground is empty 10mins before kick off so how can the atmosphere in the ground build up am not knocking it great idea but its takes the atmosphere away from banter with the away fans

I don't give a shit what ITV or sky have to say about Manchester city before or after the games they can say whatever they like it means fuck all just like the lad next door united fans who gives a shit what they say

Can't find an analogy but the closest would be, If we were a nation we would be suffering mass racial abuse.

They do. I also recall Chelsea having issues with CL group games and pricing a few years ago with fans staying away. Having Scholes on last night was absurd and then him starting with cheap shots about absent fans when there are legitimate economic reasons behind it just made it more so.

I know we have few friends in the media and I have no issue with them commenting on fans staying away but how about some context behind it. The CL through FFP is causing City to monetise everything that moves and is responsible for squad restrictions so what is the incentive to turn up and watch the poxy competition in the first place? It's like turning up to watch a play where you are obliged to pay full whack by the same people who axed some of the cast list.

It's very much part of 'the agenda'. We are exhorted by presenters, pundits and ex-pros from various clubs at every turn that there is some kind of obligation to support 'our' teams against Johnny Foreigner. It's all rather pointed that this philosophy somehow seems to have been left in the car park when it comes to us!

ITV perpetrated the most insulting aspect of any football programme last night by having that knob deliberating on our match. They could have had Patrick Vieira, fresh from the Hyde victory, a current coach and probably with a far rosier footballing future than the Ginger Pig but 'the agenda' rules the airwaves.

ABsolute BOLLOCKS. 90% of the UK (maybe Europe?) HATE The scum.

don't let this ' buy success' bullshit fool you. City have always been well liked generally because of the shit we have gone through, the humour and loyalty of the fans etc etc etc

scholes was an unprofessional joke.

you mention city legends not ever getting asked. this is true. the last time we had MIke Summerbee speaking out against FOUR Bias views on SKY. Have we seen him since? Scholes last night was just the same as summerbee - will he get his marching orders like summerbee did? will he fuck. its a disgrace. ANd fair play to Mike for giving it back. Its almost accepted that everyone should have an agenda that if anybody speaks sense/gives it back then a shock. Lee Dixon has to slag us off now and then to avoid being sacked!
