Not bitter. Like the Murphy’s. Bitter suggests a lot of emotional investment. Most don’t have an issue with the team, it’s the 66 effect, where the media and telly haven’t let that go, so winning another trophy wouid be wall to wall triumphalist wet dream.

That aside, I get what you’re saying and it’s probably because everyone knows we have no chance. If we were a contender, that changes. That’s why a lot of English don’t mind us doing ok because we all know it won’t fucking last.
 
We all support each other until one of us gets successful. I hated the welsh success, the Rep Ireland success, and it must be the same for them seeing England.

Its success we all hate. wtf world.
