Where have all the Hertz and sheep fans gone? Couldn’t keep their mouths closed up till October then.

It’s Marching season, so many are practising their swaying walk. Others are being fitted out for their kid on military uniforms, their sisters are making out of old curtains.

Some, like No 8, are in Nepal at a Buddhist meditation centre, trying to work out why they never win anything.


Easy to figure out if you think about it.

What is it with the Scots, and drums? Watching the Livingston vs Ross County game and even in the very small crowd there, there's some oik (a Ross fan, apparently) mindlessly banging away on a drum. There's no discernible rhythm to it it's just a horrible racket. He wants taking up onto the roof of the stand, and throwing off.

Anything to annoy the English. Works in continental grounds but their fans sing along and there’s more than a few thousand in the stadium. In Scotland there’s sometimes barely inaudible chanting if any at all. Just drumming. I do enjoy a drum solo/break, a lot of these guys aren’t Malcolm Catto.

Rangers do have mitigating circumstances in losing all their players and being put down the divisions. Level playing field now with new billionaire owners at Ibrox
