Nearly all the top leagues in Europe are dominated by the same clubs year after year. It’s just lazy blaming Rangers and Celtic for other clubs woes. Ffs we had an ICT fan blaming Rangers for their troubles!! The vast majority of their support are Rangers fans without the bus fare!

Anyway there are small signs that the gap maybe closing and that can only be good for the game in Scotland as a whole.

It also has to be remembered that it was Stewart Milne that voted with Celtic in 2012 to keep the 10/2 voting system. A short sighted vote that has stopped the prize money being dished out in a more equitable manner.

Old firm managers , players , supporters have a cheek bemoaning the lack of competition while they take so much money out the game in Scotland. You want competition then look to change the way TV / Prize money is shared

Big win for Aberdeen at Pittodrie tonight. Does that realistically end Rangers' title hopes? 9 points (effectively 10, with the GD) behind Aberdeen and Celtic. Whatever about reeling Aberdeen back, you'd find it hard to think they'll win 10 more points than Celtic in the rest of the season.

It’s not even November ffs. There are 3 Old Firm league games to be played yet. Well I suppose it’s three if we make the Top 6.

It’s very doubtful Rangers will win the league but it always was. Celtic were already 14/1 on!

I did say we would be closer to second than we would be to first but I wasn’t envisaging this. Fair play to Aberdeen. Dominated the first half and after the equaliser they rallied and ran out deserved winners.

This is very true. Putting those three games to one side very briefly, if you pretty much match Celtic in all the other games, you'd need to win those three old firm games. Would you be confident of doing that. Two of them will be at Ibrox, to be fair. Which will be an intimidating venue for Celtic to face.


Actually, I'd love to see Aberdeen win it. It'd be great to see a new face on top of the heap up there. And their manager seems a decent bloke.


And no; I'm not saying that's sufficient reason for them to win the league! The next Aberdeen/Celtic clash should be interesting. At Pittodrie, isn't it (they drew at Parkhead a couple of weeks ago).

I’m not confident we will even win on Sunday against Motherwell

I switched straight over to the City game and missed our post match interviews. I’ve heard Clemente said it was one of Rangers best performances of the season!!!!!!!!!!! I’ll need to hear it myself but that is taking delusion to a whole new level
 
Aberdeen play Celtic this Saturday at Hampden in League cup semi final. Would be huge if Aberdeen can get a win in that one.

To be fair, what would you expect him to say? 99% of managers would do the same. You don't get many saying after a 1 goal defeat that they were shit.

Not great at all for them. Won’t get better anytime soon. That’s what is destroying them. We should get even better. They can only spend what they generate, and they are so in the red they can’t afford a real budget. No room for a sugar daddy either. Not allowed and I will be the first to grass them up, if they get up to their old tricks.

Being a veteran of the 90’s, this is revenge that hits all the spots.

Fully understand. I'm in the same boat as you. The late 80s through to the early 00s was a grim period for us. That's why my sympathy for other clubs, when they say we're ruining football, is in short supply. My comments you replied to re Scottish football were made from someone with no horse in that particular race. As I've said elsewhere, it'd be great to see Aberdeen win it this season. I'm just not sure how they'd handle the pressure that would come if they were, say, 3 pts ahead come Paddy's day. It'd be something they haven't faced before, whereas you're old hands at it. I guess we'll find out over the winter.

Are we fuck horrible. Just because we have a different political view than you? Geez fucking peace. And also remember, the most political stuff comes from young guys in the GB. Not the whole support and I bet you don’t even know one Celtic fan personally. Condemning about 3m people you have never met? That’s moron level intellect.

History shows now and will in the future, that supporting the Palestinian civilians was on the right side of history, unless you’re a rightwing ****.

A decent number of your club are IRA supporters, all you need have said is that YOU don't agree with them and you shouldn't be labelled with the Bobby Sands fan club.

I don’t usually like to get into the having a go at other club’s supporters and I’m certainly not going to defend the terrorist sympathisers at Celtic

BUT

I didn’t bring it up as it would have taken away from your clubs onfield success during the week but yet again the home support were chanting about the Ibrox disaster, singing that song about Smith, Cooper, Goram and whoever else. We have had Hibs go to the trouble of having hundreds of stickers made up mocking the Ibrox disaster and covering their area of Ibrox with them.

Most clubs have a fair amount of arseholes in the support. Until strict liability is brought in (it never will be) it’s unlikely to change anytime soon.

Just to add I know the shortcomings of my club and the support and have spoken out against it here and elsewhere. I’ll continue to do so.

The Cooper song is a disgrace but we don't sympathise or support terrorists or the death of British soldiers
