At the end of the day Dougie McDonald and the linesman made the correct decision to not award the penalty to Celtic. Who cares what he told Lennon afterwards?
I'm not going to get into a "i'm right & you're wrong" game with you. As someone who favours the other half of the O/f from me I don't expect a balanced opinion from you.
To clarify, you're saying that it was perfectly acceptable for a referee to lie to an SPL manager, then cover it up along with the Senior offical (Dallas) with a bullshit story, hang a colleague out to dry and make him the scapegoat (Craven), then try and backtrack? And you don't think that calls into question the integrity of any Scottish official? Jesus wept.
What to do is turn the situation around. If that was a penalty awarded to Rangers for a foul on say, Kenny Miller , then the ref changes his mind via consultation with his linesman/assistant ref, instead he awards a drop ball with no Rangers player in the vicinity of said drop ball. You're saying there would be no coverage in the media or complaint made by Rangers? That Mr Dignity himself, Walter no-surname would accept such a change of heart? Do us a favour. Rangers and Smith have remained silent as they can have no major complaints so far this season as far as refereeing decisons go both for and against them.
Thats what i do not understand why McDonald had to lie.In my opinion they eventually made the correct decision,so why make up a lie about it.McDonald should never referee another game,Dallas(Motherwell fan) should quit and Neil Lennon should have been dealt with a lot quicker and given a big suspension and warned about his future conduct, which has been shocking.
