Nope. After us signing Jack Rodwell I am now very wary of us buying players from Everton.

So you write us off signing quality young players like Coleman based on the fact City, knowingly bought a crock in Rodwell. Ludicrous comment.

That Lescott was a terrible signing too.. never did anything for the club

Why would come to us to play second fiddle to Zabaleta? He would be a fool to leave Everton, a club that is on the up...

He wouldn't be 2nd fiddle to anyone in this division.

He's fucking quality.

Zab will start to drop off significantly if he carries on playing 40+ games a season.

The fact he's homegrown makes him an even more attractive proposition.

He's not homegrown as he signed for Everton from Sligo Rovers at 21.

Fair do's.

Still a very very impressive young player nonetheless imo.

-- Mon Apr 21, 2014 8:04 am --

We'll look budget for Micah's replacement IMO. Sagna for £0 or Aurier for £8m both sound like decent deals. The priority is other positions, but we do need a competent secondary right-back. A broom stick would offer more than Micah has this season.

A shame Maffeo isn't a little older, Maffeo looks like he has what it takes but at 16 is too young.
. 2 year deal for Sagna makes sense. Doesn't block off youth development and he can come in and play when required for Zabba.

Sagna would be a decent signing, maybe Arsenal will be prepared to do business if we allow Richards to go in the other direction...

Arsenal don't have any power to decide if we can sign Sagna or not. He is a free transfer in a few months.

No I am not. Coleman doesn't quite impress me that much. Same with Luke Shaw.

-- 21 Apr 2014 11:22 --

I am more placing my absolute trust in our own Youth Team and the club not having to pay the ridiculous fees for 'British Talent'.

Lescott did a good job but not at the fee we paid Everton, he got found out when it came to the Champions League games and both Mancini and Pellegrini didn't quite trust Lescott.

would be a good deal all around as long as we got a fee as well of around £6-7 million.
