That's interesting. We normally sell roundabout 36,000 so I'm thinking 42,000 must be the target figure?
Each season approximately 2,000 don't renew so maybe those up to 8,000 on the waiting list have got a chance?
It will be very interesting to see when exactly we stop selling them and what that leads to in attendances next season.
13,000 match day tickets sounds a lot to shift for midweek games against bottom half teams who will bring f*** all support.

said something along the lines of only allowed to have 80% of capacity as season tickets, we wanted another ticket for our youngest, but they wouldn't sell us one, despite seats being available, so we have opted for a refund, and coming off the waiting list. I presume they know best, but it seems a load of nonsense to me, 45000 capacity this season, 55000 next season, a natural drop off of some season tickets, yet a total unwillingness to budge, no doubt they will come cap in hand in a few weeks time when they realise they cannot fill the stadium.

I have spoken to quite a few people who are not renewing, either opting to pack in or share. The club won't know yet for many on auto-renew who are planning to cancel. I reckon about 10% will drop off with the price hikes and or just their turn to lose interest.

The quota for non-season ticket holders is a minimum of 5%, so they were spinning you a yarn.

Obviously we don't know the truth and never will, but it looks as if it's getting a bit messy, with the club already putting restrictions on season tickets sales, if true? At the end of the day like many on here I'd have thought as many season tickets sold as possible, and a full house every week was the man objective of the stadium expansion. Obviously not.

Just an update on my dealings with season cards.

I emailed asking what my chances of getting a normal season card were based on my window opening on 12/06. I was told 80/20 against being able to get one.

I have now been put on the waiting list for the premium seats too. I was told that even if I don't take up one of those seats (I'll have to count my pennies before deciding whether I can justify/afford one), my deposit will return to the normal season card waiting list and I won't lose my place on there for 16/17.

ONLY ?

That's pretty well all the new seats (if you take off those that were missing this season due to the building work), so what did you expect ?

Plenty won't renew anyway, so the scope should cover close to the 8000 on the waiting list. They won't all be £299 obviously, but if people didn't have a ticket previously, then they were expecting a lot to get the cheapest ones. The restructuring of prices has made it so many can get cheaper tickets, and quite a few of the £299 tickets are still available, if earlier posts are correct (I've not checked).

there are always around 1500 dont renew for whatever reason. ok so lets say that will drop due to our success there will still be 1k over and above the 6k imo.

Just had an email saying my final opportunity to relocate is now Wednesday, not Thursday.

This is getting confusing.

Wednesday's email said:

The Seasoncard renewal window closes at 5pm on Saturday 16 May.
If you have renewed and paid for your seat, then there is nothing further that you need to do and we look forward to sending your Seasoncard pack and seeing you in season 2015/16.
If you have not renewed already, you can renew and pay for your Seasoncard now and select any additional benefits.

Friday's new email says:

Dear ..... ,
Your supporter number is: ......
As part of the 2015/16 Seasoncard Reservation, Relocation and Renewals process we advised that you would be offered one final opportunity to relocate your seat.
To enable us to offer you all available seats, there has been a change to the date that your window opens.
Your final opportunity to relocate will now open from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday 20 May and from 9am to 5pm on Thursday 21 May.
Wednesday remains exclusive to you. All remaining supporters will be offered the opportunity to relocate one final time from 9am on Thursday. If you do not wish to relocate or have advised already that you do not wish to renew your Seasoncard, you do not need to do anything at this stage.
If you have yet to relocate from Premium Seats to another location in the stadium or you have already relocated and wish to consider any available alternative seat, you can do so as follows:
• Call 0161 444 1894 (Option 1, Option 3)
• In person at the Etihad Stadium Ticket Office, located in City Square
PREMIUM SEATS
If you wish to relocate within Premium Seats or have decided to move back in to Premium Seats, please call our sales team on +44 (0)161 444 1894 (option 1, option 6).
We look forward to welcoming you to the new and expanded Etihad Stadium for the 2015/16 season.

I renewed yesterday anyway (for my new seats having had to move from the Premium seats) but this sounds like they're waiting to see who hasn't renewed by today's deadline (and Tuesday's automatic renewal date) - or does this mean today's deadline still applies? Has yesterday's email gone to people who haven't yet renewed?

42,500 season cards
54,500 capacity (with segregation)
Up to 3,000 away fans
500 tickets to voluntary groups & schools
8,500 tickets for match day sales for Blues - about 15 percent of capacity
3,000 Blues on waiting list (who support match day sales & justify the North Stand extension when the numbers grow).

This seems pretty reasonable to me

Really looking forward to next season in the new stadium. An extra 7,500 fans is a big jump and should transform the experience.

I know fans want more season tickets but that's only because math-day prices are just ridiculous. It's not really a healthy situation to have a ground that's shutout to many supporters.

I agree Marvin

The in-house ticket exchange system being implemented will add to the home tickets being made available. There could be 10,000 or more seats available to Blues without season tickets and most of these (outside Premia) need to be affordable.

I think Tim got it pretty much right, I'm struggling to understand what previous posters are complaining about (although it seems to be based on one random post which people are taking at face value) . Do they really think the ground won't be sold out for all but every single game? Even if it's not, is it that important? Last weeks game against an already relegated crap team like QPR, the crowd was given as 44,564 despite us 'only' fighting for 2nd place. Is that a disaster?

"It's not really a healthy situation to have a ground that's shutout to many supporters.", is restricting ST's to 'only' 42,500 not due to cup competitions and such? Don't away fans get a bigger share of the ground?
