Season Card Reservations/Relocations Direct Debit update 11/6

Again that could possibly affect match day sales if it was open to all. Over the previous season their has been a striking difference between the cost of one off matches in comparison to the cost per match of a season ticket. Those within the £299 seats maybe asking for £15 quid on the exchange for a lesser game while the club are trying to shift 10k tickets at significantly higher prices for the same match.
That's why I can't see them allowing it to all.
But if the spare seats were sold at between £20 and £40 for the 'mundane' games then they are much likely to sell out
Plus with the away fans in the cheaper third tier as well as a the lower tiers we should be able to have a cheaper price structure for them too.
If they can get rid of 3000 away tickets for most games it all helps with the atmosphere

I'm one of only about 4 other Blues.

There's a forum similar to this for fan's of all clubs to have a conversation.

None of these guys have an agenda against us like normal fans forums.

But the concensus of opinion on there is that City's prices for seasoncards must be one of the highest in the country.

They state it's because of the investment our owners need to claw the money back in somehow.

I've tried (I really have) to educate them that it's not like that at all!

I've compared our ticket prices to other top clubs.

I've informed them that we are probably 5th in pricing lower than Chelsea Arsenal Rags and even Newcastle.

I told them about the no Interest direct debit scheme.

I have even told them that we can opt in or out of cup schemes with no financial penalty (unlike the raggies)

I know they don't believe me.

I'm proud of our pricing.... they don't 'get' our owners!

That's not how it works. You should probably read up on it before passing comment.

You get 1/19 off your season ticket for next year if the ticket sells. The club will set the price.

I don't think the seller sets the price, the club resell it at their price.

I definitely think that the ticket prices will need to be a lot more flexible for the more mundane games. However that is a policy which Barca have followed for years so it will not be anything new to those steering the ship.

I think for some games the club will have to think 'outside the box' and be creative . If you look at the cup crowds for the past two two/three season to the years, before I think we can have a lot of faith they will have considered this.

Interestingly, if you read the post above, the guys in charge will be setting the prices for ticket exchange and not the ticket holder
Therefore if it's a big game then they'll ask top whack, and probably less for a smaller game
They priced the CoC and FA cups right for the last three years and got the biggest crowds of the rounds
We need to do the same for CL games, although the reason people don't go to them is people do feel, in my opinion, disenfranchised by UEFA and show their dissatisfaction by not turning up

I'd be surprised to find that we're as high as 5th to be honest.

The club has done wonders for the cup games and, although proved unpopular at the outset, giving priority to those on the cup scheme has definitely had a positive affect on attendances coupled with the ticket price strategy.

Completely agree disenfranchised but I also think we need that 'defining' game in Europe. I honestly believed the season before last we would beat Barca and that would trigger the interest and make the Champs League part of our DNA. As pointed out the ticket price is another factor.

Matchday prices at our Stadium are extortionate and are well out of the affordability of the thousands of people that live in the vicinity.

A person who cannot afford to pay for a season ticket sure as hell isn't going to shell out close to sixty quid for a one off game.

Until the club addresses this problem then there will always be a struggle to sell individual game tickets.
