Season ticket prices 2016/17

Quick Question...

Do you think £299 SC's will be available next season? Or even the same concept but slightly increased?
There is now 11k (yes, 11,000!) on the Seasoncard waiting list so even if there are any £299 (or slightly more) tickets they won't be easy to obtain.

No doubt the ticket exchange could be improved - like most thing in their first year of operation.

The other reasons why people are struggling to re-sell tickets on the exchange include:
- the capacity of our ground is at its biggest for forty years.
- too many people are trying to sell spares for the size of our growing fan base. They are called season cards for a reason.
- me and many other Blues let spares go for well below face value.
It's not what I have experienced this season. For a variety of reasons including holidays and not wanting to do a 450 mile round trip for a midweek game, I have used the ticket exchange 5 times in total this season including the upcoming West Brom game. Each time i have used it our 2 tickets have gone quickly, within days. It means the seats not left empty and we get a reasonable sum off next seasons renewal. Have found it easy to use and effective.

You are of course correct (in your general stance on this topic) and those harping on about the £299 tickets are missing the point quite spectacularly in their need to praise the club.

It is not a need to praise the club why people such as myself 'harp' on about the £299 tickets.

It's to provide a counterbalance to the view fans are uniformly being priced out. What is actually happening is there are undoubtedly increases in certain areas of the ground but tickets at a very reasonable of £299 are being provided and are not selling out. Additionally it seems some fans are not aware they are available or fans are able to purchase them together.

Kippax Citizen has made some valid points but it is important to point out cheaper tickets are available, can be purchased in groups, before people decide to give up something people they love because they are not aware of the options. Furthermore on a thread where fans are voicing criticism of the club, with regard pricing, it only seems fair to highlight measures the club are undertaking as well.

That is brilliant that mate. Great to see the system is working in practice. Like they say 'every little helps'.

I'm glad the Ticket Exchange has worked well for you Saddleworth2. Great stuff.

Thanks Tim and Frank. To be honest, because we come down from Edinburgh, we do tend to plan well in advance and have put the tickets up for sale weeks in advance. I can imagine it would be more of a struggle if you put tickets up for sale the week of the game.

Blimey. Was there this many last year? Some £299's went to general sale.

Does anyone know how much the ticket exchange system charge for a ticket? I've got one of the £299 season tickets in the south stand so the 'value' of each ticket is only £15.74. I've tried to use it twice (admittedly 3-4 days before the game) but it's not sold. So the exchange has not worked that well for me and next time I can't go I might just get a paper ticket and sell it, seems a much better option.

Not sure if everyone is aware of this but the £299 tickets went on general sale about 2 weeks into the season. It took about a week to sell them so the demand couldn't have been that high.
