Season Ticket Renewals - small increases (again)

How do you account for clubs that have the demand but choose to freeze prices then?

I think the rags do that so they can sell Cup tickets at exorbitant prices. Some Clubs look at their social responsibility.

I would freeze season card prices and have more affordable match day tickets. We play so many games now it stretches most people’s finances.

We could always turn to shit like the rags & freeze prices.

I think our ticket pricing is completely illogical. If we feel confident that the demand is there then why are we selling season tickets for £300? Why make it cheaper to sit one row behind someone else in the same stand? If the demand is there then charge £450 instead of £300 and make everyone in the same block pay the same. If the demand is there we'll make more money. If not, then they know there's no excuse for putting prices up.

They'll gradually put them up until they find the maximum price point that all tickets will sell at. It's what most businesses do.

Well it was posted a few days ago that SC increases could offset cheaper match day tickets. Thursday morning could be very interesting one way or another on this thread.

They are pricing out fans who live in the vicinity as they know fans will come from further afield, and a sustained dip in form will leave us like Villa. The people making these decisions won't e here in 10 or 15 year so it doesn't matter to them.
Well said

The only way to not price everyone out is to not charge for them.

There’ll be blues out there for whom £150 for a Seasoncard would be unaffordable.

It is what it is.
But it doesnt have to be "it is what it is" There is no need to price working class Class City fans out going to a game .There is no need to keep sticking it up loyal fans by increasing prices year on year .people go on about "plastic fans" tourists ."johny come latleleys or what ever and blame them for the lack of atmoshere while passionate City fans are watching the game at home or in the pub .this policy will bite us in the arse in years to come

It is but we can see the difference that ideology makes to the atmosphere at home games.

Away tickets are £30, capped price. The atmosphere is better.

Imo a better group attends.
There should be sections at the Etihad that are capped at £25_£30espcialy night games .In the 90s we had 4 season tickets in our family and went to plenty of away games as a family .just could not be done now

@cyberblue & @Cheadle_hulmeBlue , when it becomes a choice between feeding your kids & making sure they’ve got kits for sports, shoes, school uniforms & bus fare & dinner money for school as a single mum (before the courts could make the other parent pay) I’m afraid whether City reduced their prices or not didn’t really matter!! You cut your coat according to your cloth.

Cyber Blue, I’m not talking about now, I’m talking about in the days when City were struggling money wise!! However it does still apply today for some families. As I know only too well from my work in schools.

City do a lot for the community but they need to make money.

So please, come down off your high horses & think before you tell me that there is no need for anyone to be priced out! I didn’t make that posting to be insulted thank you! :-(

Well said....It's already biting us on the arse now mate. The club know they have already priced a few thousand ex match attending blues out since 2008, putting up prices almost each season. It's ok for those of us who can afford it,(I can for now) but I look round and see the empties on matchdays and those seats can and should be filled. Several aforementioned reasons as to why this is, but the club need to be more open about why they claim games are sold out when they aren't by bums on seats.

True mate. I started using the Ticket Exchange for a few games last season and then bought a ticket for a cheaper part of the ground, off mates.
