Season Ticket Renewals - small increases (again)

You just looking to argue with everyone, or do you have anything to add to the thread? ,Everyone is entitled to their opinion...

Of course they are.

I’m just interested in your view that City have purposely replaced ‘locals’ with fans from other ethnicities.

I haven’t seen any evidence but maybe you have?

I didn't say that, I actually said local city fans (didn't state what ethnicities) are being priced out and replaced by middle class and rich (didn't state what ethnicities).
I see lots of non locals at Champions League games, unless everyone has started speaking Spanish and Scandinavian languages in Manchester theses days?

You said ‘the United nations’ which clearly implies a mix of nationalities and ethnicities. At no point did you allude to anyone’s class or financial status.

You may well see Spanish or Scandinavians at CL games. I’m not disputing this. I see them too.

But how could you possibly know the context of this?

How do you know they have taken a seat a working class local wanted?

You don’t. It’s just as likely that the working class local didn’t want to go or couldn’t go as he/she was working or had some other factor preventing them attending.

You are seeing non-locals at games and making a huge leap of logic to an illogical conclusion.

Its cost, Champions League games especially are expensive, and getting more expensive?
I personally know lots of locals who used to go watch City can no longer afford to, simple as that.

Don't forget there are thousands of foreign students at the various Unis and colleges in Gtr Manchester, many of them will be football fans happy to take in a few matches.

I really don't see why you would bring wealth into it. What is important is that they are City supporters, not the size of their bank balance (and I can't see why anyone other than a City supporter would buy a season card).

City are competing with other clubs, and our match-day revenue is way behind rivals like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd etc.

Until the Premier League start regulating ticket prices, clubs will maximise every source of revenue they can.

I have seen fans say it's a drop in the ocean compared to corporate earnings which is true but the drops add up. Two or three seasons season ticket price increases pay a players wages, so ultimately it affects what you're watching. Fine if the league stop price increases then the inflationary arms race stops.
Bang on. Check out the difference in our match day revenues compared to those clubs you list.
