Season Ticket Renewals - small increases (again)

Someone said the other day it’s around £800k earnt from sc price rises.

If Lyon at home was £30 and there were 15k tickets unsold, that’s £450k (plus any other things that might be bought on the night) they’re missing out on.

That’s just one single game.

It might be 800K from this increase but add all the previous years together and it is going to be a fair few million. These are experienced business people. They will have considered all the implications and have obviously deemed that a rise is worthwhile.

There is nothing to indicate that the attendance for Lyon would have been any different without a price rise in SC.

Most fans hate the Champions League and some wont attend, good for them, I hate UEFA and I'm lucky enough to be able afford all games but if I was forced to choose one game to save money on it would be that overhyped cup.

I don't know why they have put prices up.
1] next year sky money goes up to 165 mill for winning the league this year 150 mill
2] the puma deal is 60 mill a season the nike deal was 18 mill
3] I think that the champs lg money goes up this coming season

so we could be better off by at least 70 mill better off this season, so again why put prices up for little money

When will people understand that we are a commercial enterprise

Correct.
Probably a disliked response coming up but with FFP and a brilliant team on the pitch, someone has to contribute to it. The bottomless pit of money that has been mentioned by a few on here is irrelevant. Should we sign mbappe in the summer few would be complaining about a 3% increase. A successful team incurs massive bonuses that need to be funded within the constraints of FFP. Potentially, had we won fuck all last season there would probably be a freeze on prices for next season. Re-signing players contracts like aguero and Silva on less per week would have been stacked with massive bonuses based on trophies etc so by default those costs will have majorly increased.
Anyway, I'll shut the fuck up. My beloved club well and truly fucked me over in the 2003/4 season, and the season after so my season ticket after 20 odd years was well and truly shoved back up the club's arse!

I'd imagine most, if not all, supporters understand that concept. However, if you are talking in purely commercial terms then brand loyalty is key with football and it involves supporters choosing to put a large proportion of their disposable income towards attending games. Once you start to get them looking to actively spend less then it's a slippery slope. In recent years I have moved into SS3 & nearly halved the cost of my SC, stopped attending CL group games and I've never bothered with Platinum. There are thousands like me.

Just tried to renew and it's fukcing me about. Click PROCEED and it's coming up error. I'll try again but Jeeeeeez why does it do this?

It's givin' me this shit:

Invalid operation SeatIdInAreaMap: SeatReservationMode is set to "SelectedSeat" and no SeatIdInAreaMap specified for any item in group

WTF does all that mean?

Had something similar when I renewed earlier. It was saying I couldn't choose 93.20 as an option but I wasn't. I then noticed at the top right of the screen it showed one item in my basket so when I clicked on that I was able to go on to payment.

Did they factor in the Mangala implication, via season ticket price rises from 2014?

———————

ELIAQUIM MANGALA is set to end his Manchester City misery by returning to Porto.(the Sun, so it’s probably a load of shite)

The French international defender, 28, cost City £32million from the Portuguese giants back in 2014.

And you think £800,000 makes a difference to City}

Please!

Honestly. The money City have pissed up the wall is unbelievable. Yet they still mange to scrape £800k from the fans via unnecessary season tickets price rises every season.

And people/fans like you will always find a reason and an excused to justify the continual season ticket price rises that bring in less than a £1,000,000 pound a season.
