Season Ticket Renewals - small increases (again)

I've been in 93:20 for past 2 seasons on discounted price after being evicted from block 126 due to Tunnel Club. Have been paying £1000 total for myself & son but prices for next season will be same as above (£2k total). I've enjoyed my time in there but don't think it's worth that amount so will be relocating to a cheaper (mid priced) area.
Question for those who have relocated in the past, are you better off logging on asap to find the best seats or do you find that the better seats become available later in the day as people downgrade from the mid priced seats?
I've been told that I can reserve new seats on the planner and then jump around throughout the day if better seats become available, is that correct?
Have the club been in contact with you specifically about what will happen to people moved out of 125 and 126?
We’ve heard nothing

City are competing with other clubs, and our match-day revenue is way behind rivals like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Utd etc.

Until the Premier League start regulating ticket prices, clubs will maximise every source of revenue they can.

I have seen fans say it's a drop in the ocean compared to corporate earnings which is true but the drops add up. Two or three seasons season ticket price increases pay a players wages, so ultimately it affects what you're watching. Fine if the league stop price increases then the inflationary arms race stops.

Let's not try and blame anyone other than the club's shear greed for our yearly increases.

Another small increase now means the away fans match day ticket holders are watching the game at cheaper prices per game than I am as a regular season card holder.
I suppose its no different than Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool, Stretford Rangers etc.........Just Premier League Football im afraid. None of the other top six will have plenty of cheap Season Cards at circa £300 -£325 either! Here check Spurs prices out http://new-stadium.tottenhamhotspur.com/season-ticket-prices/ Cheapest is £795 (More than 2.5 times our cheapies) for a few seats (Approx. 350) in the NW corner - and they are like rocking horse shit certainly none available now. The equivalent of mine - £655 in SSL is £995

I sympathise for those who can no longer afford it.

Are our German friends still showing the way on ticket pricing?
Its really something we should learn from them to prove prices can be held down without particular detriment to the club. Bayern are hardly skint are they?

Come on Marvin, the increase has nothing to do with players wages. You know that.

As for our matchday revenue.

We will never catch Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea.

Arsenal and Chelsea have higher season ticket and matchday ticket prices, and a much wealthier fan base.

Liverpool have less season ticket holders, more matchday tickets, and more tourists and day trippers.

But our overall revenue is bigger than all of those clubs, which shows matchday revenue doesn’t matter as much in the grand scheme of things. Certainly not £800k a season.

No but when we took the 93:20 deal the only other option we could find at the time were seats low down near the corner flags which we weren't happy with so we took the 93:20 seats expecting the North Stand to have been extended by the time the deal ran out, freeing up some decent seats around the ground.
SS have told me that we'll be able to access the relocation window a day before the standard date but no guarantee of what will be available.

Same happened to us.
We were offered the first row in 127, told them to stick it.
So we can have one day extra for relocation? That’s generous of them. What if we happen to be working all day on that one day.

Yes, but then revenue doesn't mean a thing either it could be £1 billion and still make a loss, so matchday revenue should be compared to profits not revenue. I dont mind any debate about price increases and whether they are needed but its the only income revenue that fans dont want maximised, obviously, just reference it to profit not turnover.
