Season Tickets - 2023/24

Bloody hell, someone could PM me a fifty line long tirade of abuse calling me every name under the Sun and I wouldn’t fall out with them. I’ve never put anyone on ignore on this site and never would.

We’re all Blues here. Many are just looking out for other Blues who can’t afford it, others are just backing the club we all love… we’re all just passionate around it all.
My general point was more around the fact that regardless of whether u back the club or are pissed off there is a common ground where a reminder to the club of its responsibilities to the local/legacy fans through a visual banner at a game (more impact imo than anything else) doesn’t hurt anyone

Thank you BMR, respect to you and what you have done to promoting City, I think you know I'm a commie but the reality is, it's not allowed to work like that, for me it would be back to 2/6d at the old turnstiles but reality is, the country run by a bunch of capitalist gangsters, it is they that have increased prices, sadly City have had to pass them on to the customer, through no fault of their own.
Ok mate. You're missing the point though. The club don't have to raise extra revenue by fleecing the fans,(further) especially if we win the treble. How much that will generate is anyone's guess, but it sure means we can raise extra revenue by advertising, shirt sales, corporate sales, etc etc ...

The club probably thought the day couldn’t be any worse so might as well hit the fans with another blow.

They should have taken the opportunity to scrap the ridiculous platinum scheme.

£710 in SS3 is pricey. At least put some more shelves in so you can rest your pint somewhere!

The thing is any banner criticising the club would not be supported by a lot of fans. I understand times are hard but life is about choices and we all have to make them depends on our means

A tip to save money on renewal - look to see where the Chumps League final is - if it`s somewhere that would be a ballache to get to don`t join the CL Cup scheme.

That’s going to cost you money if you intend going to all the home games anyway. Which I assume the vast majority on the cup schemes do.

This is what I mean. You weren't informed that you couldn't upgrade them again if you downgraded?!! It's disgraceful. If they were transparent and told you at the time then fair enough but it doesn't seem to be the case. I'd be complaining if I was you and hopefully others in the same situation do too.

They seem to be encouraging others to do it again this year. Conveniently omitting the fact if you drop to Silver you are stuck with it going forward.
No mention of downgrade here and states the one season

I can certainly get behind scrapping Platinum. The whole concept just ruined what it means to be a loyal fan. "Sling us another £50 and you're twice as important as the guy who doesn't", disgraceful.

Fair do's, but don't forget we're still being scrutinised by FFP and the power's that be, I suppose there will be a formula of what percentage income must be generated by gate receipts and other revenue. I don't know.

I do think the club has missed an oppurtunity to make a statement.

The reality is that the price increase makes a 2%-3% difference in match day revenue which probably equates to 0.5% of total revenue. Compare that to the minimum of 8% increase in matchday revenue the north stand expansion will bring and this is a minimum because the likelyhood there will be premium seats either there or elsewhere which will increase this further.

To further put this into context the north stand expansion will cost £300m. The increase in ticket prices for this year will return 0.5% of that cost next year, I.e. basically nothing.

I'm not saying match day revenue does not matter because commercial revenue is much higher, just that the increase makes negligible difference compared to other plans the club has to bring in more revenue.

So yes, the price increase is still good value for money, dont think many would dispute that. Equally yes the club need to be commercial, but putting everything into context the increase is questionable.

I'm a little reluctant to blame the owner because at the same time he paid for transport to the Champions League final for many supporters and the club does make the odd gesture during the year which effectively claws back the increase but I do think they have missed an oppurtintuy to make a statement.
