Season Tickets - 2023/24

For the entertainment it gives me and the quality of experience we are enjoying o think it’s great value. I honestly do. People getting 19 games for £500 in some instances and moaning? Under £30 quid a game???

You're watching the greatest team ever.
So what?

I’m not here for the quality of football or the trophies, I’m here because City are my club.

If we are found guilty of all our charges and have to start 2024-25 in League One, I’ll be there in exactly the same way as I am now.

But it’s more about the cheek of them doing this:

And then telling me that they want £60 more off me.

As good as our team and manager is (and the boardroom most of the time), that’s simply not up to the standards that i want this football club to be and what they like to portray themselves to be.

I've just had the email, how fucking tone deaf are these people in charge?

In the week we are having to find money for Madrid and dealing with a woeful roll out, an FA Cup Final, I find out my seat has gone up £55!!!

£675 to £730.

Must be that cost of living crisis to heat my plastic seat.

Disgusted.

£730 divided by 19 - under £40 a game. I honestly don’t think that is bad at all to be honest. My kids have just order a fucking Nando’s and it has just cost me £77 quid. Is a pound a week worth using the word disgusted??

What are fans prepared to do about this?

There are a few things supporters groups can put out, but without the masses getting involved they won’t work.

I’d be reluctant to do anything that affects the atmosphere at our remaining games this year (walk outs and disrupting games off the cards).

We (1894) have tried to pressure city on ticket price rises for years and nothing has worked.

That leaves options like:

- Post match sit-ins
- cup scheme boycotts
- platinum membership boycotts
- protests at CFA

These things could work. But they would require people to actually do something and get involved (rather than sit back and hope 1894 do it for them). They require solidarity and sacrifice from the majority. Would people get involved? Because if not, there’s nothing we can do.

Genuinely open to any feedback or suggestions.

I started a few seasons ago, dropped platinum, then dropped cup schemes bar Champs League, then this season dropped that and don't buy any food or drink in or around the ground (just go to Asda Greggs or Maine Rd chippy) loads still buying platinum etc for the extra points, we need to hit them (the financial people) rather than the actual team.

My 4 east lower all up in the region £50 per ticket
I already refuse to spend a fucking penny inside the ground on principle
Gonna spend even less next season!!!!

Good job we’re fucking exceptional on the pitch
Got moved for Munich and now Madrid
Heard a whisper Nexem tyres are after my Block 104 for corps
They can have it
It’s the excuse I need to give up the equiv seat I’ve had since they rebuilt the kippax in 1994/95
