If you are on direct debit, you shouldn't need to make a payment until July and I don't believe they do a credit check. Likewise, the club also introduced last year a Renew Now, Pay Later option whereby you can pay the full amount in July.

That was my suggestion with the Gold+ product when the club told us, Colin. Likewise, I think it is hard to defend it with the current premium.

Are you effectively getting the £150/ £75 back in incremental discounts on the tickets?

Or does it just give you the opportunity to buy tickets for every game at the standard members price?

My private health insurance, which includes existing conditions, is due at the end of this month. It’s £1000. My left knee is fucked. I need a new left knee. A knee replacement costs anywhere between £5000 - £15,000.

I’ve just paid my car insurance. It’s gone up from £410 to £560. That was the best price I could find.

I’ve just paid my private dental cover. That was £125.

My council tax bill arrived this week. That is £1035.

My broadband is £30 a month.

My gas and electricity bill is £100 a month

My mobile is £10 a month.

I’ve got £500 to pay off on my credit card.

I may have to find money for the FA cup final and the CL cup final if City get to both? :-)

As for Holiday this year, I doubt it

I pre-paid my water bill

My MOT and car tax aren’t due until October.

My house insurance isn’t due until September.

My next car service is 5000 miles away.

I’ve got 4 cats. :-) Don’t tell me to get rid of the cats because I can’t. :-(

I’ve got through autumn and winter using as little gas and electricity as possible. Spring and Summer are on the horizon. Thankfully gas and electricity prices are coming down again in April.

Now I have to find £795 for my season ticket. :-/

Life financially is a struggle for most of us. Many of us are just making ends meet even with making cutbacks and sacrifices. Yet most of us will somehow find the money for a season ticket or for a match day ticket to go and watch our beloved City. If we had to give up watching City we’d give up a big part of our lives. Sadly many City fans have had no choice but to give up watching City due to the increasing price of season tickets and match day tickets.

I don't understand anyone thinking this is acceptable but I do get some people are blind to the impact on many, which is a shame.

I find it bizarre when people are still using the term fans or supporters. We're customers. End of. End of season speech from Khaldoon using the term fans or supporters just know that he's talking the Mick.

So I've got my reasons for still buying a ticket but I'll not bother with the schemes. I'll make up the extra 50 by skipping a couple of games on top of the couple I had to skip because of the increase last year. I guess customers vote with their feet in the end.

I'm against the price rises. I'm pretty confident most of the reasons have already been set out here, so I won't repeat them. I also think that the £150 premium for Gold+ is completely wrong. I think it's unfair to pay a premium for the exact same product as someone else, and it could also be seen as getting as much as possible from those who are desperate for a season ticket; given that there are no "normal" tickets on the market. We did achieve a bit of movement on the premium. Like 1894 and the Foodbank, I've been happy to share these thoughts in the media too.

The club told City Matters about the price increases last Thursday and I and some of the other representatives made similar points to many here. I asked about the reasoning for the price increase and, in my view, I didn't receive a very convincing answer - the increase in operating costs were mentioned.

I appreciate that many will be questioning the point of City Matters in all of this and, trust me, I am well aware that the group has struggled to move the dial on the key strategic issues for supporters. However, under the Premier League's push regarding the Fan Engagement Standard, groups such as ours are here to stay, and I think it is important that there is someone at the table who can share fan sentiment with decision makers. For those of you who may have been priced out, I'm sorry that we couldn't make a bigger impact.

Think I've increased £20 or so, the fact I think it's not that much but, through my choice as there's more than footie in my life and it costs me as much to get to a game as the ticket is my over riding thought, I'm half way up SS3 and it'll be £1k+ to do league games is on the edge...I can afford it but 8 hours for a game in the dog end of winter or even almost spring is a bit of a 'put off '.

I'll more than likely have another year as I always say but age/time waits for no man especially a blue .

You should’ve asked will prices hold up when we have all those new solar panels cutting operating costs ;)

Exactly my point could have sent it now for the end of April so people have couple paydays to plan etc. as it’s becoming ever apparent home and away us long term fans are back of the queue now.

Can see in about 5/6 years me packing it in, I’m the only reason my old man hasn’t.

Be nice to see the end of season interview have some balls and bring up these issues.

As you say. I think a lot of season ticket holders are now giving unattractive midweek games a swerve and putting their seats on the Ticket Exchange to claw some money back. The club won’t mind about that as they can probably sell the tickets for double the money to a tourist, a day tripper, or to a desperate Legacy fan who usually can’t get a PL match ticket. The club have got all the bases covered.
