Season Tickets - 2024/25

What’s the business with the UEFA thing?
EUROPEAN COMPETITION CHANGE
The format of European competitions will be changing for the 2024/25 season. For more information click here. Should we qualify, all home cup matches will be included as part of the UEFA Competition Cup Scheme.
Does this mean we get in for home UEFA Competition home matches included in our SC price?

I am not naive enough to really think that but hey it could read that way!! ;-)
Without reading it it in full it will basically mean next seasons extra CL games will be subject to the terms of the Cup scheme.

If you are on it then you'll pay for every CL home game.

I'm against the price rises. I'm pretty confident most of the reasons have already been set out here, so I won't repeat them. I also think that the £150 premium for Gold+ is completely wrong. I think it's unfair to pay a premium for the exact same product as someone else, and it could also be seen as getting as much as possible from those who are desperate for a season ticket; given that there are no "normal" tickets on the market. We did achieve a bit of movement on the premium. Like 1894 and the Foodbank, I've been happy to share these thoughts in the media too.

The club told City Matters about the price increases last Thursday and I and some of the other representatives made similar points to many here. I asked about the reasoning for the price increase and, in my view, I didn't receive a very convincing answer - the increase in operating costs were mentioned.

I appreciate that many will be questioning the point of City Matters in all of this and, trust me, I am well aware that the group has struggled to move the dial on the key strategic issues for supporters. However, under the Premier League's push regarding the Fan Engagement Standard, groups such as ours are here to stay, and I think it is important that there is someone at the table who can share fan sentiment with decision makers. For those of you who may have been priced out, I'm sorry that we couldn't make a bigger impact.
You are doing your best, and match going fans are thankful and appreciative of the time and effort you put it. However, unfortunately, you are pissing in the wind. The club simply don’t give a fuck about what you or any other fan led group think or say. They will listen politely, then do what they already planned to do, and jack up prices, in an attempt to wring the last penny out anyone who goes near the Etihad. As others on here have said, we are viewed as customers, but customers without a lot of choice. Therefore it is take it or leave it. And the leave it option is the best one for the club in their opinion. They can flog your ticket for twice or three times the price you pay to a tourist. That is clearly the strategy they have adopted and implemented. It’s nothing new, they have been doing it for years now. As I say, your efforts are appreciated, but I honestly believe, you are wasting your time. Unfortunately.

They will no longer play three opponents twice – home and away – but will instead face fixtures against eight different teams, playing half of those matches at home and half of them away.

We didn't rip loyal fans off when we were shit
Are we ripping fans off or is it football in general ripping fans off with the approval of the governing bodies?

I would say the latter.

If we spent a couple of seasons out of CL our finances would take a huge hit and that's when the spiral starts. Only have to look at the Rags!

Two totally different businesses models
Ones gate takings is a huge percentage of the club’s turnover
The other club, it is a fraction
No it's not,stop
spreading this myth.
It's approximately 10% of the clubs annual income and its one of the areas where the club is miles behind on their closest competitors.
We are approximately 50 million pounds per annum behind Arsenal and united on gate receipts alone.
Whether we like it or not the club have seen another untapped source of extra income and through various methods they are going to take advantage of it.
They are a buisness that sits a top of the tree at the moment and they are doing everything in their powers to remain there .
Unpalatable as it is, us legacy fans are holding them back.

Are you effectively getting the £150/ £75 back in incremental discounts on the tickets?

Or does it just give you the opportunity to buy tickets for every game at the standard members price?
The £75 means each tickets costs around £12/13 EXTRA and but still a significant saving.

With a normal membership (£20) ticket they would range from £18 to £41.

With the fixed and variable element the more tickets you buy, the more you save, so not incremental. It works out a lot worse than a season ticket, but much better than a membership.

Yep, but basically more home games before reaching the knock out isn't it.

Extra outlay for CL schemers

The new regulator should cap all season tickets at £570 no matter the seat

£30 a game to match away tickets

Away tickets are still £30 and that doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon, which is a good thing. Yet home tickets across most or all of the PL clubs continue to go up in price every season.

I'm in SSL3 and it's £425 adult
I'm in SS3 and being a foc mines gone from £250 to £280..
It's not bad for me regardless but seeing some of the prices for other parts of the ground it's fucking scandalous for them.
City should be keeping the prices the same as last season as lots of fans are going to be struggling to pay this year due to everything costing so much more..I can see lots binning of the cup schemes and I can't blame them.
