Season Tickets - 2024/25

Was going to suggest some kind of Teams or Zoom call to talk some of the less tech savvy members of the supporter base through doing the necessary to ensure the season card is ok. Then realised that even that might be beyond some of our older supporters. Hopefully this will all get sorted soon.

Ask City to put it in writing that you did attend the Ipswich match.
 
I got the e-mail saying I did not attend on Saturday.
I waited on the phone for an hour and a girl said she would pass it on to a supervisor and I would get an e mail back so far nothing.
I attended the game and they can check the cctv not letting this go the way they are treating us is a joke.

I don't use wallet app to make payments but not having it leaves me high and dry if the club offer no alternative ticketing method, even another app (like drive) to import the membership to.
I can't be the only one to have a relatively old phone and am reluctant to fork out to replace an otherwise functioning model - poor from Moto and intransigence, by the sound of things, from City.
I never understood the full transition away from card scan entry - they didn't even need to issue new cards each season, just refresh the card each year, or at least 3 seasons life for each card...

Explain it to someone at City.

I know 2 people with cards (one is my brother) because they didn't have NFC enabled phones at the time this scheme was introduced.

(Sorry I can't be more specific about the 'someone'. Hopefully someone on the thread can be more helpful).

I'm just emphasising the fact that some people still do have cards.
 
They won't watch cctv to see dippers assault a young girl. But they will check if a loyal City Fan attended or not in the hope they attend less than 14 games.

No they won’t. It’s an idle threat to try and encourage people to use the exchange if they can’t go.

Nobody is getting their season ticket taken off them.

If people can be bothered pursuing it for long enough, they’ll probably eventually send them an email saying.. Ok we believe you. Just to shut them up.

But it will mean about as much as the original email. Fuck all.

When i spoke to her,she said just ignore the email about attending 14 games.I asked her if my non attendence was knocked off my record for the ipswich game,she said yes,i said how do i know for sure,i said i have to take your word for it etc
Im waiting for a call now between 8 and 10 am today or tomorrow from her supervisor..

Even more infuriating when you did attend,yet get an email reminding you about 14 match minimum to attend or transfer.All cos their mobile system doesn't work for everyone.
 
Clearly it's not going to be popular with a section of SC holders but the club seems to going all in on mobile ticketing now after allowing some exceptions in the relatively long time it has been going. I think it may be because there is a Ticketing Compliance Manager (or similar title) and this person's brief will be to better track SC usage and cut down on tickets bring passed on.

Probably the only real solution is to have an up to date phone with NFC and not ones that no longer support Google Wallet for example. Most budget Android phones get 1-3 years software updates but would still work for a number of years after even without updates. Google are making any phone that is on Android 8 incompatible with lots of services including Wallet.
 
The irony of all this shit.
I will be able to transfer and sell my ticket or list it , but be unable to attend the game itself, as i now have no seasoncard in my google wallet.
Or i could potentialy queue up every single league game and cup game to gain entrance

Convenience certainly. The stress of getting tickets match by match isn’t nice.

I couldn’t always attend based down in London but I’d try and shift it whenever I couldn’t. Midweek or engineering on the trains.
 
Apparently, from Jan this year, we had over 120'000 on our season ticket waiting list. But, but, but we give 5 free tickets away with boxes of cornflakes vouchers. Good luck to anyone on this waiting list.

I dunno where that figure has come from but City like to refer to the number of match day members as the ‘season ticket waiting list’. Which of course aren’t even comparable.

I just typed it into Google. Also a piece from the daily Fail stating that us and the raggies had 120k. It could be bollocks, and with it being the Fail, it probably is.

Before I got the concession due to age I was paying about £35 a game. If I didn't have a season ticket it would have been £60+, that's why people keep the ticket going. Now more people are aware of the ticket exchange system if I can't attend almost every game I put on there is sold. Now with my concession it's about £18.75 a game. I would imagine the club are made up when I put my ticket up for sale now as they make more money.
