Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

I was 65 on the 30th of August 2020 but had to pay full price for the season, maybe it's changed since then?
Just checked, there’s 35 pages of rules and conditions for season tickets ffs, but the rule is it’s if you’re 65 on the relevant date, the relevant date is defined as the later of 1st August and the date you but your season ticket, so assuming the ticket is bought by 1st August 2025 someone would need to be 65 on or before 1st August 2025. (Not sure if the rules change if you buy on several payments but probably when you make the first payment)

I'm not sure how unless it's a non season ticket holder with a ticket in the same stand. You can't swipe in twice but the person on a normal ticket could swipe in with the season ticket then choose which seat he wants to go in as he already has a ticket.

Yeah am mainly talking about if the person can't make it can then anyone take a clone phone and get in the ground!?

Yes that should work, well until they start using facial recognition. It's ludicrous people have to do such anyway.

I’ve copied this to the club.
Could as many people as possible do the same. We need to use these examples of how true fans are being treated.
Yes - the club need to stop those who buy season tickets just to sell the seats each game for megabucks but it must be possible to track them down instead of taking the easy option of treating everyone as touts. Don’t punish true fans as an easy option

Trouble is they know he isn't touting anyway as the seats aren't being used. There goes that excuse in this instance.

What is City actual policy with regard to Over 65 pricing on season tickets. I presume there must be one? I knew previously that premium seats gave a significantly less than 50% discount. But looking on Pricing map for Colin Bell stand the cheaper pitch side seats have significantly less than 50% discount and oddly in Level 3 there are ST priced at £860 and £760 but Over 65 price is
£440 & £430 but 18-21 price are same @ £250?
Have any Over 65 or 18-21 prices been raised for 25/26 even though "full price" been frozen?
My FOC price in East Level 2 is exactly half the standard price. However I'm a points whore so I pay out another £50 for Platinum.

Fan Aupportneill sort this out. Yes the chap shouldn’t have to go to the trouble.

It doesn’t show touting but this thread has revealed the scope for industrial scale “points whoring” (a very unfortunate term). I’m in the camp of live and let live and using your initiative but for example, there were lots of lifelong Blues with interrupted viewing tickets at Everton. Some of the people who’ve worked or lived away for yonks and accrued maximum loyalty points could be occupying the bet seats. Not a big deal to me but I can see the unfairness in it.

This from the renewal site...

Weasley words or genuine understanding.... you decide!
The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. However some will cry and scream about the mere possibility of losing their tickets until they/we have evidence of whether the club listens (or not) to genuine cases.

Doesn't really effect me so don't really want to comment on the away situation. That far behind others I don't even look. Nor do I agree with paying for points. For financial reasons I'd probably only do games in the north anyway which I imagine there would be a far higher demand for.

Maybe personal attendance should be utilised for away ticket allocation instead of using it as a tool to remove people's season ticket?

Pride in battle is has clearly not thought this through. I love City but these measures are simply draconian. If all kick offs were Saturday 3pm for example and.people could plan travel accomodation etc ahead then perhaps but they aren't. That new stand will be full of tourists who will pay top dollar for a weekend experience at the etihad. Tours, ticket, glass walk over the roof, it is going to be the biggest white elephant ever.
I share your concerns as I just don't think there are sufficient tourists/casual fans to fill the stand without a significant reduction in ticket prices.

As has been said many times, we’ve got approx another 8k seats to fill so it would be better if this policy was put on the back burner and only implemented for the most blatant piss taking or touting.

I might have missed it, but with the extended North Stand due to open mid-season, will fans from other areas of the ground be allowed to swap tickets for a few games to judge whether they'd like a permanent move?

I'm sure it goes on, but I'm convinced the biggest touts going are the clubs. My rag mate sent me this this morning.

The new ticket compliance officer to stop touts will be the reasoning.

There will be some who go one game a season and transfer the rest, and the club will assume they are profiting off it.
The club made it easier to transfer so they now have the data, and then got rid of Print and Home. I said in 2021 when this all started, I said this is the road to charging for transfers, and it kind of is with memberships needed for those who transfer to more than 3. The excuses used for ditching plastic can now be seen for what they are.

Why would City care if I profited from it? (I don’t btw). They’ve had their money. Why would they be arsed?

Secondary point:

So let’s say City take my ST off me and sell it to another punter - how do City know he’s not just going to do the same as me?

City care because they have sold you the seat discounted at say £45 when they could have sold it for £60-80 or if you have a pair next to each other they can put a meal with it and sell them for a few hundred.

If it's taking off you that seat then won't be a season ticket it be a match day ticket or a flexi at best
