Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

Won't people just clone phones? As long as it's only used once you can look like it's you who go through the turnstile

Well since 1968 and after 56 years of following City and having a season ticket, I have had a message telling me that I can no longer renew my season ticket but can apply for a flexi-gold ticket if I want. Severe Crohn's Disease 11 hospital admissions and 7 operations in the past two years has caused my partner and me to miss too many games (6). We have used the ticket exchange previously last year, but on a few occasions this year haven't had time as I have gone in as an emergency, or its been the lowest of our priorities. The email says that they have been unable to contact me to discuss, but I haven't had any contact from the club. My details have never changed in the past 25 years. I did email a fella called Danny Wilson in October / November but didn't get any response. That was to let them know that I was ill and was worried about this happening. We travel over 100 miles return to get there and when I studied I was travelling over 250 miles for every game. Grew up in Moss Side and its always been my club. It has never been a hassle and it is part of my / our life. I am not sure that I am angry, I actually feel really sad and got a bit tearful when I read the email. I won't be doing the flexi-gold thing. I have always had a ticket, went home and away for 14 years and have always been proud to say I am a blue, even when we were poor. I got to Istanbul and have never missed a final so have my memories. The world is changing in many ways and its wearing me down......

That's an utter disgrace, no words....

I'm not sure how unless it's a non season ticket holder with a ticket in the same stand. You can't swipe in twice but the person on a normal ticket could swipe in with the season ticket then choose which seat he wants to go in as he already has a ticket.

I don't know the answer to your question but was surprised to find my season ticket in 117 had been reduced to £375 because I am now 65. Full price last year was £740. I assumed, like the state pension and bus pass, the qualifying age had gone up to 66 so really hadn't expected it.
All clubs seem to have different ages. Port Vale who i happen to know of and are quite fan friendly start seniors at 62 then you have united and Spurs at the other end.
Also senior match day tickets do not attract the full 50 per cent discount? maybe 25 per cent off so there's definitely a big incentive to keep the season ticket going if possible.

I’ve only posted like because I am sad for you pal, I definitely don’t like the narrative of what the club has done, they have become cunts, they seem to want to drive out more and more legacy Blues so there are ever more empty seats in the ground, madness. Don’t let it go pal and contact Supporter Services about it, your love for City is a million times more important than these STUPID PATHETIC rules. I will have the problem next season in that my eldest is away at Uni, is City daft, and I will have to encourage him to miss lectures and seminars to get home for night games, but these changes will make him have to do that. Don’t let them win

I think if you become 65 during the season you will get the discount, but don’t rely on what I say cos I’m an FOC and I don’t know what I’m saying half the time
My father had to wait until the season after he had turned 65 for his ST to reduce. They go off your Age in August'ish for the coming season.

I was think about moving to one of the city bars for the season just to try it out

Does anyone know how I would go about this ? Do I renew on my current ticket and the re-locate when the window opens ?

The pricing isn’t available for these areas yet, I assume it will be available shortly?

Do you have to drink a minimum of ten pints?

Normally to you relocate you need to renew first, and best doing or you could be left with nowt.

I’ve copied this to the club.
Could as many people as possible do the same. We need to use these examples of how true fans are being treated.
Yes - the club need to stop those who buy season tickets just to sell the seats each game for megabucks but it must be possible to track them down instead of taking the easy option of treating everyone as touts. Don’t punish true fans as an easy option

If I were you, I would take this to the press. I'm sure someone would be willing to run with it.

Just my thoughts but if the club know / knew you had extremely good reason (illness or injury or similar) not to attend the requisite number of games; then I don’t believe they would rescind your ST.
If you hadn’t / haven’t attended requisite number of games and not informed the club of the reason(s), the club have every right to follow the previously advertised policy and to rescind the ST.

My gripe is that this rescinded ST does not get reallocated to someone else as a ST rather than a general sale ticket.

I was 65 on the 30th of August 2020 but had to pay full price for the season, maybe it's changed since then?

I think they use the same criteria as age restricted football has traditionally always used. Your age on August 1st is your age for the whole season.
