Which would have been fine if I knew they weren’t going to change the criteria from previous seasons. I bought ten games this time last year at £500 or so thinking “great, should get an opportunity next May”. Instead, people who went to fewer PL games get the chance of a season card where the only requirement is buying 10x PL tickets.

C’est la vie I suppose.

Common sense needs to prevail with another 7k or 8k of seats to shift from Jan/Feb. I would suspend the new policy for next season and review to find a workable solution.

Turning to flexi-golds, I know my OSC Branch haven’t been offered any to date. Most
Members sort themselves anyway. It’s not a hanging matter either way. What I think it does show is the reports that Kevin Parker had just done a deal for the OSC were false. Could it be that someone in the OSC is leaking information / misinformation and putting a negative spin on it?

That’s just one incidence but take the stuff about exemptions for Scandinavian Blues and a bit of a pattern is emerging. I’ve no objection to anyone thinking the OSC is crap but sewing seeds of division is another matter.

I am also reading that a couple of Manc season card holders have been exempted from the 10 game rule (for good reasons) and hopefully there will be a more substantial and consistent exemptions policy (or postponement of the 10 game rule).
 
I thought someone on here spoke to City who said the 10 games would be assessed on an individual basis, so if there was good reason to miss games you wouldn't automatically lose the ticket? That needs to be in place with clear acceptable reasons if the 10 games aren't met. If City want to introduce this minimum game attendance then it needs to be transparent from the start and no grey areas.

That’s true.But it’s a bit late at the end of the season to be pleading your case and hoping for the best . I spoke at length with them about my son and his shift work, and how he’s willing to swap shifts, take leave if need be but that it’s impossible for him to plan when the games move so frequently . They wouldn’t budge. We’re already considering coming back from our August holiday early if staying means he misses a game. Just waiting for the fixtures to come out. It shouldn’t be like this.

If the rule is in place they will have reasons they deem acceptable and ones they don't. This is where it needs to be clear and transparent from the off and not waiting until the end of the season for some kind of outcome, but it be monitored as you go. Hopefully you get the right outcome.

For those with blockers that can't see the tweet:

- Over 5000 attended fewer than 10/19 games
- 3000 of those attended fewer than four
- 1200 of those attended NONE

That's pretty shocking.

I do understand the point about changes in circumstance, shift changes, etc. For those long-term season ticket holders, I think there should be a little slack, letting them drop in and out of a FlexiGold for their seat seems a reasonable compromise. They get the seat for the games they can attend, the club sells it for others, and they pay a premium for not attending all games, which is the discount for having a season ticket.

If and when things change, go back to a full season ticket. Though not a constant flip-flop.
