The turnstiles have been upgraded and they say they work with a wider range of phones so that suggests they knew that some brands/models had problems with the old ones. I guess we’ll all find out soon enough.

At least you can work out the fatigue stress before it happens.

The fact they had a trial week doesn't fill me with confidence. It suggests to me the club aren't convinced it's a reliable and fail safe system.

I'm not tech savvy by any means and I think I've done the right thing by doing whatever I needed to do to get that circle with the sort of radio symbol inside, but I have no idea if it's going to work when I get to the ground.

I'll find out soon enough.

Mine never worked on the turnstiles always had to use the barcode, but it did work at the bars inside to get the 10% seasoncard discount, hopefully the new turnstiles will rectify that.

The payment devices were newer tech designed specifically with the varying mobile phone NFC capabilities whereas the old turnstiles were designed with the old plastic cards in mind which were just one piece of technology and probably why it didn’t work as good.

Is my opinion.

The trial week was possibly just to put those people at ease who doubt technology. Of course it will still not be 100%, someone will have a problem, that’s expected tbh, but if it’s a lot less than before it’s better.
 
The button is not greyed out anymore but when I confirm transaction comes up with an error message
