I don’t know about everyone else but I’m getting bored of all the back and forth about this, season card, phone, print at home business and just wish the club would come out with a definitive answer!
I just did a rough calculation of 11*12 mate, it's actually double that if it's 24 month contract.Where did I mention the cost of the phone is £130. The actual NFC enabled smartphone is free.
The monthly fee is for minutes, texts and data allowance. To my mind £11 per month is incredibly cheap to have a powerful mini computer in your pocket!!
It is cheaper to buy a phone outright and then get a sim and that is what many people do these days. It is not the monthly cost that counts but the total cost over the length of the contract. £133 a year for a very basic phone doesn’t strike me as a bargain, actually.Where did I mention the cost of the phone is £130. We are talking about season cards on this thread, which are a cost of @ £500/600 per year on average.I just did a rough calculation of 11*12 mate, it's actually double that if it's 24 month contract.
That money may not be much to you and many others but for the elderly or someone living on the bread line that is a huge outlay
I think that's an assumption, a season card will be one of the largest expenditures for some. This impacts Mancunians in the most part, primarily the elderly and working class. We are talking about season cards on this thread, which are a cost of @ £500/600 per year on average.
So if you can afford £50/60 per month for a season card ,you can also afford £10/11 per month for a smartphone.
My wife pays £10 per month, but over 36 months, not 24 months like I normally pay.It is cheaper to buy a phone outright and then get a sim and that is what many people do these days. My SC is £270. I have a work iPhone but when I retire next year I’ll buy a personal Android phone. I could afford to drop a grand on one but there is no value in it for me as all I need is the ability to make calls, message, browse and have a few music apps and so on. Lots of people will have smartphones that aren’t NFC enabled so they either have to buy a new phone or print at home.We are talking about season cards on this thread, which are a cost of @ £500/600 per year on average.

Or borrow their wife's smartphone, which is what I am doing, until I renew my own phone contract in 12 months time.My SC is £270. I would think so, though don't hold your breath waiting for a communication from the club.Does anyone know if the virtual or physical seasoncards can be sold or transferred via the club / Seatgeek ticket platform to other fans for games that supporters cannot attend?
