Got the small card with all details on but although my first injection was downloaded they seemed to have lost my 2nd lot of info due to technical issues. Apparently it's a pretty common problem but currently no one taking responsibility to sort mine out.

My dad is 75 and has just fucked his ticket off after I don't know how many years.
I'm considering it aswell as my ohone is shit and simply can't be arsed with this. I only renewed coz my son is obsessed with city.....who doesn't have a phone.

Here we go.... This isn't going to be popular on here.
I'm from the "I'd crawl over broken glass to watch City" brigade. It seems 300+ pages shows that this isn't the way for many on BM. How many excuses do season ticket holders need to not follow City? If your heart isn't in it anymore. Just go. Don't defer. Just go. We won't miss you.

Yes I'm not too enthralled by the changes but prepared to give it a go. Football is all about suffering. And we should know about it with our history. But to put it into perspective now, imagine being an Everton fan seeing Rafa take over, a Utd fan seeing Ole's contract being extended, a Villa fan on the verge of losing their hero. Think I can live with having to leave the boozer a bit earlier on the opening day to see the Champions.

No it will be embedded in the chips in the phone. It is not a optical thing like a QR or bar code so a screenshot would be useless.

If the club do permit print at home tickets, obviously this would change things and would rather undermine the whole ‘project’. That would clearly show that they were backing off from the whole shit-show.

I suspect that the club have been sold a pup and do not want to be seen to be backing down. The justification of ‘security’ is bullshit. They are creating a solution to a problem that does not exist. Unless you consider card sharing to be a fundamental issue?

The club are really testing the loyalty of many supporters with this issue. Another clusterfuck on the scale of the Everton match will be a major problem.

Have City got so many supporters that they can afford to piss off so many?

I think what some of you younger fans and tech savy fans have to realise is, in the 30s 40s...60,80,90s... All you had to do at a game was turn up and pay yer money,
In the last 15-20years it's gone from a card that freaked people out,, now we've gone to down loading shit on a phone ffs have a heart.

All me and the other old fuckers want to do is turn up and watch city,, this has fuck all to do with covid, so why do it?
Is it really such a hassle to a multi million if not billion bound business to send a few plastic cards out,, that actually work, if you loose it you just phoned up for another?
Is that really to much to ask for?

I agree wholeheartedly. My first direct debit has gone out of my bank account but now I'm faced with a system myself and many others don't find easy or want. Even worse we are being dictated to. Never a good look or a way to treat a loyal fan base. Have they put a bloody rag in charge of our customer services??? I ask this in all seriousness as all they have done lately is piss the majority off.

It's almost like it was timed like this with a few false promises thrown in for good measure.

I have the kit to use the new system but everybody should have had the choice & been made fully aware of what was available/going to happen before the renewal period.

Have you tried to fill out this form.
At least they will send you a letter as proof..

Managed to sort this eventually. For info to anyone else who has struggled with it, I had Mrs Bill logged on to the tickets section on her phone. It then brought up the customer number (it doesn't show on the Profile page). I then logged on to M Account on my laptop separately for both me & our son & was able to add her as F&F for both without having to purchase a Cityzen Membership for her.

Hope this helps any other Blues who may be tearing their hair out and thanks to @citizen81 for your help !

Perhaps City have closed the loophole ?

You can always go down the print at home route (assuming you have access to a computer and printer) if you’re concerned about having an expensive phone stolen from you at the match.

I could do that. But I'll probably adapt. The major advantage of it, I will admit, is being able to hand over my seat to a friend or two for the odd match, without the rigmarole we usually go through.
