Seasoncard - 2021/22

It is better you move on, an uninformed employee made a mistake, there are no cards available and the club never said there was. Some people have genuine problems, which doesn’t include demanding the club gives you a card which doesn’t exist or else you cancel your season ticket lol.
With the greatest respect....Fuck Off !

If you can't see that this shitshow isn't alienating the fans then you are blind. There's been ZERO comms on how to access until 2 weeks ago leaving fans scrambling to work out options on how to get in. A lot of our older fans do not have a Smartphone that allows this, nor a printer, I would imagine some do not even have email and are sat at home wondering how the fuck they will get in the ground. Oh yes, by walking around the ground and joining an hours queue for the ticket office.

And all you can suggest is that if people don't like it, they can 'move on'

The fans built this club, kept supporting it in bad times and now we are treated with contempt with NO consultation on this.

I think REM said it best...

That's me in the corner
That's me in the spotlight
Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no I've said too much
I haven't said enough

When they first put up the booking system for the drop in sessions it said 175 people a day. When I booked mine it said any time between 10.00 am(?) and 4.00 pm so are people turning up without booking? Because people have been saying the queues are horrendous ... 6 hours among 175 people works out at 15 people an hour between 2 people works out at 7.5 people each (we'll call it 8!) so 8 people every hour would mean approximately 8 or 9 minutes per person wouldn't it? ... of course my Maths could be wrong it is a long time since I was in school and it is approximately 18 years since I finished teaching!! :-) (& I didn't use a calculator I did it in my head!!)

Why didn't the club give everyone a one hour window and then only 15 or 16 people would turn up? Is it me...
When I turned up today no one asked my name,so you could be right people just turning up

In a previous post a few weeks ago, I mentioned that was told by the the customer services rep that I, too, could have a card, so your first sentence is complete bollocks. There have been several posters on here that have said the same thing, yet you dismiss them by saying that "the club never said there was". The rep I spoke to didn't know who Bert Trautmann was, and it was obvious that he was working from a scrip to placate the caller. The representative, is the spokesperson for the club, and, uninformed or not, is acting at the club's behest. As for cancelling their season ticket, you added a "lol", presumably to try and make it sound as if you were joking. Wumming at it's finest for fans who, like me , have been watching City for many years (62 for me) and spent thousands in following them.
As a matter of interest, how long have you been watching them, and where do you sit? Genuine question.

@Northerndave some of those people might not even know that they are not getting a card. They might be waiting for a communication from the club saying when it is time to renew. If they live alone, have no access to the internet and therefore no email address or contact with anyone connected with City either fans or people at the club that could be the case.

Personally if I didn't have email and internet I could have been in that boat until the season started or the Eccles OSC restarted the monthly meetings. Luckily I have not only the lovely people from the Eccles OSC who kept in touch during lockdown but also the lovely people on Blue Moon who have kept me sane...all right, all right, I know I am not sane...just daft!! :-)

There has been a few over the top reactions in this thread, but I totally understand people's frustrations. The club means the world to a lot of us, it's unashamedly the biggest thing in my life. People just want it to go smoothly and get back in the ground.

It's time to stick together and help other fans out who may be struggling with the tech. It's obvious that the ticket office don't have the capacity to offer this currently; a lot will be trying their best but the overall service has fallen way below expectations. It wasn't made clear when fans renewed whether they'd actually have an option for a plastic card; a lot have been reeled in to a false expectation.

Just remember, in 20 or 30 years a lot of us are going to be the older crowd when the next gadget comes out, and I'd hope someone would be there to help me when I'm getting wound up.

The club is not trying to alienate the fans, you are just crying for reasons unknown. The club has set up new measures for ticket, try the new measures and stop being negative every time. Some people have legitimate problems not that person who was crying that “I might have to cancel my season ticket because the club lied and didn’t give me season cards” .

It's frustration a lot of it mate. People love the club and commit a lot of their time and money to it. A lot will be scared that they won't get in the ground v Norwich, more so than being annoyed about not receiving a plastic card. It's totally understandable.

I can totally understand that the people who feel that the club are in the right and can't fathom why some fans feel frustrated get annoyed but please can't they respect the opinions of others and accept that there are two (or even more) viewpoints on this and treat everyone kindly.

There is so much anger and angst about in the world at present and to read City fans arguing with each other and upsetting each other is not what I expect from the best fans in the land in all the world. :-)

Sorry to be so 'mardy' but it does upset me. :-)

especially when the jam from my warmed up doughnut has gone all down the front of my Dunnie shirt!!!! It had better come out or I will be screaming and screaming and screaming!!! ;-)
