Seasoncard - 2021/22

Cos its basically just a membership card that entitles you to purchase a match ticket. The match ticket option would still be digital or print at home same as it is for Seasoncard holders.
The only reason I can think of that they may allow the citizens card to be used for entry is if children under a certain age are omitted from this digital scheme but even then its more likely that the kids tickets will just be sent digitally to the parent/guardians phone

can you have three season cards sent to one phone as i take my grandkids and ones too young to have a phone and the other would probably lose it

I had two for the Everton game on my phone. City will send a download able file and you just download to your phone so you can definitely store multiple ones though not sure if there is an upper limit to how many can be stored at anyone time though it would definitely be quite a few.

Which involves queuing in close proximity to others in Manchester weather and dealing with our flaky supporter services yet again. Not being funny but as much as I love city and live football the more hurdles that get put in the way the more inclined I become to calling it a day and walking away.

Have you not got a phone? It’s hardly a hurdle is it, if anything it’s easier. It’s easier to forget / lose a card than a phone.

Yes. I do all the admin and bought tickets for six matches this week.

My email and phone number is the default contact for the account dashboard.

You just have to select the match day wallet and they will send all three email links (tickets) through to me closer to each game.

Fair enough, just don’t leave it in the car or at home when you go to the match. Surely no big deal.
Not a big deal for me, I have an NFC enabled smart phone. Given a choice I'd go for the card.

But I know some older blues who don't have one or a printer at home and it seems a bit unfair on them.

The Everton approach (£5 fee for an entry card) seems like the sensible option and the high uptake indicates that many people are not ready to move to the new system just yet.

Of course we're all guessing as the club haven't as yet confirmed that there will be no card option.

£130 is a lot of money for something that isn't an essential purpose for many
Where did I mention the cost of the phone is £130. The actual NFC enabled smartphone is free.
The monthly fee is for minutes, texts and data allowance. To my mind £11 per month is incredibly cheap to have a powerful mini computer in your pocket!!

I just did a rough calculation of 11*12 mate, it's actually double that if it's 24 month contract.

That money may not be much to you and many others but for the elderly or someone living on the bread line that is a huge outlay

It is cheaper to buy a phone outright and then get a sim and that is what many people do these days. It is not the monthly cost that counts but the total cost over the length of the contract. £133 a year for a very basic phone doesn’t strike me as a bargain, actually.

We are talking about season cards on this thread, which are a cost of @ £500/600 per year on average.
So if you can afford £50/60 per month for a season card ,you can also afford £10/11 per month for a smartphone.

I think that's an assumption, a season card will be one of the largest expenditures for some. This impacts Mancunians in the most part, primarily the elderly and working class.

This season and every other you can get a value card for £299. For some this will be only entertainment they can budget for

My wife pays £10 per month, but over 36 months, not 24 months like I normally pay.
So £120 pa which includes unlimited calls and texts and 1gb of data is exactly what she needs.
As for it being a very basic phone, it does everything that she could need in a phone.
Not much point in getting a £45/50 per month phone if she doesn't use all the bells and whistles on it.

My SC is £270. I have a work iPhone but when I retire next year I’ll buy a personal Android phone. I could afford to drop a grand on one but there is no value in it for me as all I need is the ability to make calls, message, browse and have a few music apps and so on. Lots of people will have smartphones that aren’t NFC enabled so they either have to buy a new phone or print at home.

Thats outragious to some on here.
being forced (if u want to keep going to games) to buy something at an added cost that you don't want anyway, why should they.

Or borrow their wife's smartphone, which is what I am doing, until I renew my own phone contract in 12 months time.
And the next one will be NFC enabled, of that I am 100% certain!!!

Does anyone know if the virtual or physical seasoncards can be sold or transferred via the club / Seatgeek ticket platform to other fans for games that supporters cannot attend?
I would think so, though don't hold your breath waiting for a communication from the club.
My sister was telling me yesterday that the rags are allowing s/t holders to reassign the s/t to a different member via their ticketing system. She's away for their first home match and wants to transfer it to her daughter so if they're doing it I would imagine most Prem clubs will have a similar method.
