Seasoncard Amnesty

We shouldn't be scrambling around on this forum and Cheesey's podcast to get information about all of this. The silence from the club is deafening. I learnt nothing from the podcast about measures the club are putting in place, the safety measures, ballots, ticketing etc etc etc just lots of questions.

There are answers to a lot of these things and the club should communicate rather than leave us half guessing via what CM Reps can or can't say.

Fairly sure I've had just two emails since the season was suspended?

I completely agree that quite often the club's communication is poor or even non-existent. And we tell them that. But nothing is set in stone yet nor has the current plan been agreed and signed off by Omar Berrada/Ferran Soriano. And the general situation is also quite volatile so nothing can happen while we're in this lockdown situation that we're currently in.

If the club came out and said "We don't know when fans will be allowed back in the ground. We don't know how many will be allowed in when and if they are. Nor have we any idea how we'll allocate however many tickets we'll be allowed to sell or how we'll get people into and out of grounds. And we still can't decide whether food, drink and toilets will be managed" then people would say it was a ridiculous communication. But that's largely where we're at currently.

The seasoncard amnesty is the first thing that will happen and I think we've sorted all the details of that out, subject to the club's sign-off. Once that happens then the communication process will start.

I had an email on Thursday regarding next season.
It seems the club have not been given final information yet, but it appears that you will be allocated games that you are eligible for.
By hospitality... they mean Joes Bar. I paid a £400 deposit back in February for this season.

Apologies if already posted, but this is a must listen if you're wondering what attending a match is likely to be like going forward......

2 CM 'reps', one says ST amnesty is a reaction to COVID govt guidelines and rules regarding getting fans back into stadia with track and trace

the other says it's something they've been considering for 12 months.

Which is it?

It was an issue before, now it really is an issue for a very different reason.

They made that clear.

Which is it indeed.

CM are backing the club to offer an amnesty and the club are using it as an opportunity to enable track and trace. Won't work. The ticket sharing scenario will not go away, regardless of an amnesty.

Other clubs are just asking fans to reconfirm their details. I've yet to be told why City need a system of track and trace aside from this amnesty. Why do they need to assure whoever that everyone in the stadium is the season ticket holder?

Pretty straightforward to me.... If you can't go how about you log in to the ticket site and tell them who is in your seat if you are not. Not difficult, will only apply to about 10% of a capacity of 20,000 and they've had 5 months to sort it out.

Maybe they need a new kind of seasoncard, a Family and Friends one.
Maybe limit it to the main name and two alternates. ID for three should be manageable if ID is a requirement.
Though I'm sure if they did, it would be at a slightly higher price in return for the flexibility, maybe £50 or £75 more.

Funny how some posters suddenly come out of the woodwork when there's a chance to be negative and have a go at City Matters.

This is primarily about fans confirming contact details. If you're using someone else's ticket then by definition they haven't got your details. They have to track and trace because they have been told to, just like pubs & other places. You will have to apply for a ticket in advance and it's a requirement to know who is in the stadium and where they're sat. I understand that this will be a problem for those who genuinely share tickets but that's tough unfortunately.

Now, I've got a game to watch.
