Seasoncard Amnesty

Only the standard 1000 points will be added to the new holder's account on transfer of a seasoncard.

And not the points already accrued? I find it baffling that a card can be transferred to someone else and the points go with it, along with a 1,000-point bonus.

Sorry I've not read all the pages the last few seem to be focused on the season card amnesty.

Does anyone know what the club is suggesting in regard to supporters going to the games? Presume much reduces capacity and no away fans...? How will they choose who can attend? What if you don't feel safe attending?

As I've mentioned previously we're fed bits and bobs from podcasts and well meant CM updates but once again City miscommunicate and we're about to disappear down a rabbit hole of 'what about the x points that y will lose' etc etc

What most of us want to know is exactly that - will we be punished / are we obligated to go if we're chosen in a ballot / how will that all work. I'd like some comms on all that because all of that is within City's gift and does not depend on external factors.

Don’t know what the fuss is all about tbh. Only thing I can say is if it’s reduced capacity how and/or who do they decide who goes or not.

no problem whatsoever with identification to get in to match details on tickets for the track and trace system.

Only the standard 1000 points will be added to the new holder's account on transfer of a seasoncard.
What would happen if someone had the wrong d.o.b. Would they lose all points by requesting an update?

Care to enlighten me how I'm looking after myself? And which OSC branch each CM rep belongs to? Because as far I'm aware none of the other 8 (Kevin Parker does of course) belong to a branch.

I was a member at Prestwich & Whitefield a few years ago but was working away all the time then they stopped having regular meetings a while back so there was no point in being a member . I moved as well and was looking to join a branch that met regu as I enjoy mixing with my fellow City fans. As it happens, about the time I applied to go on the shortlist to be a rep, I did a radio show with Ian Cheeseman and one of the other guests was on the committee at Alkrington, which isn't far from where I live. Turned out they held regular meetings and the Branch secretary was an old colleague and friend from many years ago. So I joined and would have done regardless of any involvement in City Matters.

And I'll tell you what freebies I've had out of CM. We all got a free book about the takeover 'Killing The Game' and once, when an afternoon meeting overran quite a bit before an evening game, I didn't have time to get back to meet a group of mates for our ritual pre-match Chinese so the club kindly ensured I got something to eat. And that's it.

For that reward I've put in lots of hours work - at meetings, including evenings and weekends, answering fan emails and dealing with their issues, doing research and talking to other clubs' fans, preparing stuff for discussion at meetings and other bits and pieces. That cuts into my free time plus I've had to use holiday entitlement at work, when we start a sub-group meeting at 1 or 2pm for 3 hours then finish with a reps meeting of full CM with the club in the evening till 9:30pm.

So, again in case you've tired yourself reading this, please tell me how me and my fellow reps are "only looking after yourselves".

Colin don't forget the 3 ulcers and PTSD accuired d trying to your best to make sense of totally extreme views from the fans and the club makes knitting fog look easy

email just arrived...

Following the Premier League’s announcement that the 2020/21 season will start on 12th September and in view of Government guidance outlining plans for spectators to return to venues in October, subject to the completion of successful sporting test events, the Club has begun its own preparations for welcoming supporters back.

Over the coming weeks the Club will be sharing information outlining our plans regarding seasonal membership and match tickets. We will also detail the additional measures that will be introduced on a matchday to ensure that the highest standards of health and safety are maintained for the benefit and protection of all supporters.

In the meantime, we are asking supporters to help us with our preparations by reviewing their personal details and contact information, updating them if necessary. This will enable the Club to fulfil the requirements of the Government’s Track and Trace scheme, as explained below.

Please take time to read the following information carefully.

Data Verification and Seasoncard Amnesty

For the 2020/21 season it is essential that we know exactly who is entering the stadium each matchday, to enable the Club to fully support the Government’s Track and Trace scheme.

The Government’s website gov.uk explains the Track and Trace scheme as follows:

  • It ensures that anyone who develops symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) can quickly be tested to find out if they have the virus.
  • It helps trace close recent contacts of anyone who tests positive for coronavirus and, if necessary, notifies them that they must self-isolate at home to help stop the spread of the virus.

We understand that there are a number of reasons why the information we have on record may not correspond with the details of an individual Seasoncard holder.

  • Seasoncards are often held in the names of previous supporters; or
  • One Seasoncard can be used by different family members; or
  • Supporters have multiple Seasoncards in their own name (excluding a disabled supporter with a personal assistant)

Based on the above, the Club will be implementing an amnesty period until 11:59pm, Sunday 23rd August 2020 to enable all supporters to update their personal details and contact information in preparation for the new season.

It is important that the name on the account that the Seasoncard is registered with, is the supporter who attends the match.

Seasoncard Transfer

Where a Seasoncard is transferred, the new Seasoncard holder does not need to have an existing account with the Club, however you are unable to transfer a Seasoncard to an existing Seasoncard holder. To transfer your Seasoncard, simply complete the form within the ‘Review Your Data’ section, with the details of the new supporter.

The new Seasoncard holder will receive the 1,000 Ticket Points the Club allocate to new Seasoncard holders (if they have not been applied from a previous Seasoncard purchase). The ticket points of the original supporter will remain on their account.

You may be asked to produce a valid form of photographic identification* to gain entry to the stadium on a matchday. In the event that you are asked, the information we hold on record must correspond with your identification. We would therefore encourage every supporter to check their details and submit the form. *Further information, including what may be required and any exemptions, will be provided in due course.

Disabled Supporters

For advice or support, please call the Access Team on +44 (0)161 444 1894 (option 1, option 2, option 2).

Keep Up To Date

We want to ensure that we keep you updated with the latest information, so it is important that you check your mobile number and email address. In addition, you will not be able to upgrade match tickets after purchase and it is therefore important that you have purchased a ticket that aligns to your age band, so please also check your date of birth and update where necessary.

Under 13s

The parent or legal guardian of a child Under 13 must complete changes to their account on their behalf. If you are unable to do this online, please contact Supporter Services on +44 (0)161 444 1894 (option 1, option 2, option 1).

Under 5s

All supporters entering the stadium, regardless of age, need to have purchased and be in possession of their own ticket. This includes babes in arms. This is a safety requirement which we must adhere to in order to remain compliant with our Stadium licensing conditions.

Cityzens Matchday Membership

Any supporter that is not a Seasoncard holder that wishes to keep up to date with the latest Club news including updates on tickets and potential opportunities to purchase* for the 20/21 Season, is advised to register for a Cityzens Matchday membership. *Subject to government guidelines and any qualifying sales criteria.

Review Your Data

We ask that you take the time to review your data and provide us with any updates, by following the link here where you will log in to your online account. Even if no details have changed, we would appreciate your support in submitting the form.

Advice and Support

If you have any questions with regards to the above, please contact Supporter Services on +44 (0)161 444 1894 (option 1, option 2, option 1). Disabled supporters can call the Access team on +44 (0)161 444 1894 (option 1, option 2, option 2). We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with the exception of Thursday where we open at 10am.

We thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time and look forward to welcoming you back later this year.

I still cannot fathom why if you book a table for 4 at a restaurant you leave one set of details not all 4. Same at a cinema. If there's a covid case, the one person passes on info to track and trace.

Yes we are in a pandemic but there is a massive point of principle here.

What City are doing is way above and beyond what's required for tracing and I do think they're exploiting the opportunity to bring in photo ID by the back door for football fans, something that generations of supporters have campaigned against and our CM Reps have facilitated this.

If photo ID is a prerequisite to Dan's returning and all football clubs do this then I'll pipe down. But if it isn't, then this is a sad day for City. Shame on them.
