Seasoncard ban due to finishing drink at seat

Smoking in Stadium
Drinking Alcohol whilst at a seat in view of the pitch
Persistent Standing after being warned
Swearing (Actually just shouting C**t) continuously
Fighting

Can and probably will all lead to a ban so why are some on here not bright enough to understand that

If you have broken any of the above 5 and are surprised why you have had your SC taken anyway take a bow because you have joined the *BMTC Group

I wasn't aware of the act. As I said silly maybe but not ignorant or criminally minded. You see signs saying 'Keep off the grass' but I wouldn't think that someone would look to prosecute over it. I get the smoking, racism even standing but it is over zealous when you are basically not causing harm to health property or society by finishing a plastic bottle. I think that the Act does just apply to football which is ridiculous. Different shaped balls don't make us all potential thugs and criminals.

Again thanks to those for the advice. I will take a short ban but the rules are patronising and any sensible private organization would apply common sense - a stern reminder would have sufficed.

Sorry mate but if you flout the rules you can not forego the consequences.

Plenty of time to drink before and after the match.

I would cut him a bit of slack as he didn't stay on the concourse until he'd finished his drink and then spoil my view of the game when he arrived late at his seat.

You appear to miss the point that he says the T&C's say 'if convicted', which he wasn't.
I think you will find the ban on conviction referred to in the T&C's is a Football Banning Order which applies to all professional football. The club do have the right to ban you if you breach the stadiums regulations which is what has happened here.

The Act specifies that it applies to football matches involving clubs that are members of the English & Welsh FA's. They could amend that to Rugby matches if they so desired but currently it's only applicable to football clubs.

If they do amend the Act they should still impose some restrictions. I've stood on the terraces at RL games many times when fans have been drinking around me without any problems. But its a complete pain in the arse when its allowed in an all seater stadium eg at the Grand Final, during the game. People constantly getting up during the game to get a beer just causes aggro.
