Seasoncard Renewal thread 2016/17 - Prices Frozen

Indeed it is, not only are they trying to suck out life from the forum they are trying to suck out enjoyment of watching our club

Blues critically discussing ticket prices at City, and nationally, in a thread on that very topic, and you think that equates to them wishing/trying to "suck the life out of the forum and the enjoyment out of watching the club"?

What planet are you from?

And I noted that you made a snide personal insult at me earlier in the thread, seems you deleted my response?

You gave me a warning for calling someone a clown in a heated debate the other day, but you're free to insult people indirectly, without having it in you to even quote them directly? Mod privilege?

People are concerned about ticket prices at City, and I'm one of them. I'm not sure what your problem is.

Do West Ham and Everton and any other clubs who have SC reductions for next season need a reality grip too?

Football tickets have been too expensive for a decade and have just kept rising. Football has finally realised that £30 for away tickets is plenty, that's over a 50% drop from a few clubs who've been charging £67-72 in the last few years so why not, while the climate is right for when this giant new TV deal has come in, wouldn't a club say "we are going to get rid of all this Platinum bollocks, drop your SC by £50 and freeze that for five years"? It would do more in a business sense because of customer satisfaction than signing world class players would.

Plus I don't go bowling every other Saturday at Pars Wood then travel around the country on other Saturdays bowling in Leicester, North London, Bournemouth and Sunderland. Nor do I travel around when a band goes on tour to every gig they do.
Fair point but I don't think it's bad value in the grand scheme of things. I would never go bowling anyway, it's ditch water. A gig every week, well yeah why not. Platinum is a choice, I don't fall for it personally.

It is an entertainment (although that's debateable this season), but it's completely different than other forms. Using gigs as an example, if the same band played 20+ times at the same venue every year, do you think they'd get 50000 every time? I just don't think they're comparable.
Whether this season has been entertainment is subjective. Compared to much of the last 4 or 5 seasons then no but comparable to the 30 years before then probs yes. I've not enjoyed it as much as the next fan but I digress. I just don't think our product is that bad value compared to some other clubs. You can always argue the German model I guess and that wold be great but I think too many moan for moaning sake.

If you want to do your fair share of away games, Platinum is essential rather than a choice.
It's as much a myth as United fans not being able to get a ticket. Join a supporter's club, you'll get one 9 times out of 10. If you want to get in you always will, Don't know you from Adam chief but I'll take a punt I've done more away games than you can count.

Given that there appears to have been a clampdown on SC allocations as well as points whoring of late, I wouldn't be quite so hasty in thinking that you'd get an away ticket 90% of the time in future just by joining a supporters club. And with this new system for European aways that's been implemented you've got zero fucking chance of getting one in future if you can't get one in your own name, regardless of how many supporters clubs you're a member of.

It's not a myth - without going Platinum, I wouldn't have got a ticket for Sevilla away or the Rags away this season and that's just for starters.

As for your last comment, you might want to have a word with yourself.

Good news, I thought I might be getting priced out next season (it's getting close).

Therein lies the problem - tickets across the whole of football in this country are too expensive.

I was joking a bit about the entertainment this year - should've done a winky face or something.
