Seasoncard Renewal thread 2016/17 - Prices Frozen

Mine is £550 for CB level three near back £30.55 per game so very good value.
I am on the Cup schemes so paid £50 for CL 1/4 final ticket fair price for a top game when you consider what PSG are charging.
However if there had been an increase in ST price for next season I would have stopped going, already moved previously for cheaper ticket and cant afford much more.

This "comparison" really gets on my fucking nerves
Just because PSG are charging a fortune, doesn't make it right that City have to

If a pub in Kensington is charging £6 for a pint of Heineken, it doesn't justify that a pub in Manchester can charge a fiver

Not a chance its less than 40 - 45000.

Just had another look and that 30,000 is admittedly a very conservative figure - there are literally thousands and thousands available though plus I reckon the South Stand 3rd tier has more unsold than sold going off what it looked like late last week. Also, let's not forget that our capacity is reduced for CL games by 1000-1500 so all in all that 47,000 estimate is a very optimistic one.....IMHO of course.

I don't understand comparing the price of football tickets to gigs/theatre etc. For me they're entirely different things. I don't feel a compulsion to go and watch a play or a band as I do with City, and you're not being asked to fork out 2,3 or 4 times a month to see a band.
Bizarre, isn't it? And then you get people championing the club cos they can now take their kid along with them for a "bargain" 50 quid. It's like a weird form of Stockholm Syndrome!

OK South stand is the one that could throw me well off, So say capacity is 54000, I forgot the reduced capacity, and there are about 6000 on the planner that's 48000 less SS, so I was perhaps over optimistic, but even in if there are 4-5000 left in the South that would put us at 43000, either way depending on the result tomorrow we could could see a surge up to 50000 plus.

Funnily enough, I'm off to see Muse on Friday. Tickets cost over £70 each but even though they're one of my favourite bands, for me it's comparing apples and oranges - I've only seen them 6 or 7 times whereas I watch City home and away well over 30 times a season.

It's entertainment, regardless and it all costs, that's the comparison. It's a choice for sure and I choose to go to gigs about twice a month and yes I feel compelled at times!

It is an entertainment (although that's debateable this season), but it's completely different than other forms. Using gigs as an example, if the same band played 20+ times at the same venue every year, do you think they'd get 50000 every time? I just don't think they're comparable.

Aye that's why you get a season card , so it works out cheaper for every game, like going to watch a band , going to watch a champions league quarter final or going to Wembley is not a common event so people are expected to pay a bit more.

Seems like the anti champions league bores are hijacking the season card thread now, if you don't want to go against PSG don't go, I'm not rich far from it, but me and my lad save money for these sort of games, and we are allowed to go and enjoy it.

Seems like some are hoping we get dicked tomm, and then we will get a low crowd for the next leg , get behind City FFS and stop moaning.
