My £299 seat in SS3 is still £299.
It will trim away anyone who really can't afford a rise (and presumably won't spend anything in the shop etc) allowing seats to be available for someone on the waiting list who might have more spare cash. A slow churn. So say we have 40,000 season ticket holders at an average price increase of £15, that's an extra £600,000 generated by season ticket sales.
Is that really worth the ill feeling with fans, and the negative press (that we'll rightly get) considering we seem to be one of the only ones rising prices this year?
The increase is fairly small and on the face of it barely seems worth getting too worked up about. But on the other hand, revenue is so high for the club these days and ticket prices make up a relatively small percentage of that so it just feels like for the club it is a fairly pointless move in financial terms that will do nothing other than piss fans off as a matter of principle. Odd.

Mine was £1200 and it's showing as £725.
