Seasoncard Renewals | Slight Price Increase

I’ll say it before anyone else does.

We won’t be complaining about a £1 a match season ticket price increase when Haaland signs and earns X a week.(won’t make up a figure)

We won’t!

But it’s the principal of yet another season ticket and matchday ticket price increase.

Nobody is asking for a reduction, but a freeze would have been welcomed. And perhaps just as importantly, a bit of communication with City Matters and the OSC as to why there is going to be (yet) another price increase. The club don’t communicate anything to the fans, not even through the official fans groups.

very true. Us legacy fans - ie city’s core support. They couldn’t care less about us.

thing is if they price out the legacy fans we simply don’t have the corporates and tourists to replace us
And they are going to find that out the hardway. They can fill the ground for the 'big six' matches and the big CL games at high prices but not the other games. When this cost of living squeeze really does hit in another couple of months tickets for football games are one of the many things that are going to have to go for most people. The club just blatantly take the normal match going fan for granted. They have since the takeover. They don't give a shit about us. It's hard to get your head around and accept it I know but its 100% true. The next time Pep or anyone else complains about empty seats and the lack of support they need to be told why.

My pitch side ticket as gone up from £515 to £550 plus still £50 for platinum why do we still after pay this for double points it’s a joke we should be getting rid of platinum all together
So why don't you? Just knock it on the head.

A CL final ticket springs to mind.

Your question should be directed at City.

It’s just another money making scam by the club to fleece the fans and to get more money out of the fans. It obviously works as more fans are doing it, for fear of missing out of cup final ticket and a big match away ticket.

Strange isn’t it?

11 season ticket price increase$.

Roughly between £800K and £1mill every season, give or take.

High side. £11mill over 11 season or over a decade.

What overhead/s is this £1mill paying for every season?

To put that £1mill into perspective…….

The Club saw an increase in total revenues, increasing by 19% to £569.8 million, with a profit of 2.4 million. (in 1 season)

So even with a price freeze last season, City would have made a £1.4mill profit. No doubt the revenues will be more at the end of the next financial year.
Well there was no price increase last season because there were no fans. So they made a 2.4 mill profit, with no season ticket revenue at all.

It won't be empty if you do let it go though bud, there will be plenty of takers.

Like me, sounds like you were relocated from one of the cheap seats on the front few rows to another seat due to the new advertising boards being put in. The club said they’d give me my new seat at the lower price for this current season then I’d have to pay full whack after that

That's exactly what I did , but I only moved back two rows.

Mine's up from £820 to £845, which is more than enough to spend on football and the main reason I don't attend CL games or midweek Cup matches
£845 works out to just less than £45 per 90 minutes of football and when the referee doesn't get a grip of time wasting, some games it's £45 for only 60 minutes
As someone has posted, £20 increase x 40,000 =£800k
Is the 800 000 extra worth it when you piss off your core support?
