Seasoncard Renewals | Slight Price Increase

Yeah, everyone who wanted one got one last year, but they still did it in blocks of windows.
That's not correct
We wanted one for our grandson who's been a matchday card older for 4 seasons now and was told no. We bought every match in one purchase but obviously costs alot more. I enquired 2 months ago about next season season tickets and was told its random who gets a season ticket offer.

I don’t think the club is missing an opportunity, because they genuinely do not value long term supporters, they actually want us gone. I am probably representative of a lot of “legacy“ fans, in that I spend little at the stadium on a match day. I walk to the game, so no parking revenue, pre match pints are in The Angel or The Bradford, I don’t buy merchandise etc. I’m not boycotting it or anything, it is just what it is. The club want my seat going to a twice a season visitor, part of a family on a travel package, kitting the kids out in the shop, buying hot dogs etc. It is just a business now operating on a U.S model and as a customer I just don’t get monetised enough. Every annual increase gets rid of a few more of us and that is the intention.
I'm exactly the same as you mate..I get tram to the ground and don't spend fuck all in the ground..
Us older fans have served our time supporting City when we were on our uppers and for long periods absolutely gash..but we kept going and renewing our season tickets because we love the club...they should remember that loyalty works both ways.
We always renew our tickets but these price rises are unnecessary.

'off hard going fans'?

50p a game? A £9.50 rise? Where do you get that from?

City fans are under no obligation to donate to 1894. They donate to 1894 voluntarily.
And you are no under obligation to buy a season ticket

The cost of living is crazy. In five years my utility bills have almost doubled but my navy pension has hardly increased. I took early retirement five years ago and luckily I have savings otherwise I'd be fucked. I had six years to duck and dive until my state pension kicked in and then I should be better financially if I live that long. My navy pension isn't far off bring totally taken up to pay my bills and food now. The good news is my season ticket is now at old fogies rate, £340 a year saving me £340 from what I was paying.

As for fans, this video of the Madrid game is an eye opener. The lad and his dad filming it aren't City fans, he just goes to lots of high profile games blogging. Loads of tourist fans there, how do they get their tickets?

Thanks for your service RESPECT

But we ARE doing well, so the club is keeping to it's side of the deal. So you can't complain about a hypothetical scenario that hasn't happened. If we start doing shit then complain about value for money tickets but not when we are soaring high surely

What side of the deal? I don't buy a season ticket as some deal with the club to make me happy all the time or win shit for us, I buy it, like I have done for 20 years because I love city as my local team supported by my father and grandfather good or bad, happy or sad.

There isn't a deal between me and city as that implies fickle ties that can be broken and loyalties bargained for I would never stop my love for this club, I don't expect anything from them but to try their best, there is no deal or guarantee.

what there should be is mutual understanding and at present people are suffering a real cost of living crisis and a little bit of that undestanding from the club would have been helpful to many.

Personally I can adjust my budget and absorb the increase but I still think it is wrong at this time as many others of my blue bretheren will suffer.

Plus putting your support for a club down to value for money is a terrible way to think of it imho.

Its almost like a labour/tory , have/ have nots arguement aint it.The club should have frozen season cards this season, but no surprises they haven't.
My loyalty is total, regardless of if " the club have kept their side of the deal " ,jesus wept.
